Gander Inn — Restaurant in London

I am actually not enjoying having to give this pub a bad review but unfortunately my experience will be my last visit. Having wanting to try this pub for a while and being told not to bother by many people I decided to give it a go. Myself and two friends visited on a not busy Monday night and went to the bar to order food and drinks. Half the menu is missing! So having spent a good ten minutes trying to order we gave up and went up the road to the nonsuch inn. Well, what a difference a busy vibrant pub, and no wonder! Everything available on the menu. No wonder the gander inn is empty. The nonsuch in is where will go in future and will recommend to friends. Such a shame as the staff are good and place is clean and fresh at the gander but to get customers you must be able to cater for them. Perhaps the management team at the gander should pay a visit to the nonsuch in too see how a pub serving food should look. If you can’t serve the menu, don’t offer food. That way people will not be disappointed and when you can offer a full menu people will visit! Simple...

I haven't even walked into this pub and it's terrible already I was booking a table for Saturdays football match and on the website was told I had to pay £10 to secure my booking then after that was told I need to order a drink and meal so proceeded to do so after 10 minutes of this booking process my total came to £30 I put my card details in and pressed play to then be charged £60. So after sorting out with the bank for this shambles of a over charge I got the money returned giving the benefit of the doubt the next day I decided to try and rebook my spot and again ordered drinks and food to secure my booking and paid to the receive a email saying my booking has been cancelled and now have to wait for 2 refunds from the bank thanks alot for absolutely nothing but basically borrowing money leaving me out of pocket and no booking for the football or a...

A convenient local pub.Went for a snack here and a drink, the food was nice, hot and tasty and it was decent pub food at a reasonable price.Monday specials for £4.99 and drinks on offer for £2.35 (pint of John Smiths, Carling, Strongbow cider, small wine). Meals were a very good size and for the price we were pleasantly surprised at how filling they were. Simple pub food at a very good price - recommended They have special offers on some nights and also entertainment, all round a decent pub. Down to earth with very reasonably priced food. Service can be a little variable at times but an enjoyable experience as long as your expectations are not unrealistic.
