Golden Sip — Restaurant in London

I went in new year day for a dinner and I ordered a the starter which takes us to deliverd more than a hour and still some starter left to come but I have been wait more than half hour for rest of the starter and I spoke with one of the waitress and she didn’t say nothing and she went out and after 20 minutes I asked again one of the waiter regarding about our remaining starter and he didn’t tell us nothing about it and I says to him to cancel my order because it make me more than 1 and half hour for starter and I decide to go for tha mains and what I ordered he says to me it’s run out and I asked him another dis and I told him don’t take long time and he says it’s take long time and he says to me he have to serve 20 guest.I was sucked what he says to me with this things . The food what we ate is ok but the customer services is zero . How waiter telling the customers that kinds of things. I’m totally disappointed and We left the restaurant without eating a mains . So how is the Golden sip. Well the food is better, the staff are just as friendly and really can't find a better Nepali place than this.

The momos the mixed grill and OMG the garlic naan. The simpler menu just works. Go there to support a good local business.

This review is what I posted almost 10 years ago. Golden Sip hosted our wedding reception here in London and it was fantastic! Raj and his team were fantastic! They looked after everything really well especially when it rained and everything started getting delayed! The food was amazing! I never thought it would taste even better than the taster session we had prior to the event!

We have been to this restaurant for many years now. This is classic fusion food from Indian and Nepal. We can vouch for pretty much most dishes but never reviewed and this deserves a review. We are regular customers. The momo's (chilli) and chicken lollipops are excellent and are house favourite and we always order these starters. Mains and naans are of high standard as are the rice dishes (biriyani/raita) we have consumed in the past. We have never consumed desserts. Drinks can be hit and miss and you have to be on the ball when ordering and asking for your bill - hence the minus start. Generally speaking, service is fine.
