A very embarrassing incident occurred this morning.
I made my order, and at the end of making my order, i made a last minute change and asked, "Can i have two of the £3.55 deals" (sausage roll and hot drink)
Only one hot drink (cappuccino) was given, and when i enquired about the second cappuccino, i was told by the staff member who had a manager badge that i only ordered one. I politely told her that i did say i want two £3.55 deals and asked if i can pay the difference so i can have the drink included in the deal. I was told that she couldn't change the price or she would lose her job. This person accused me of being wrong, stating that myself and her were both wrong (not sure how that works) all this with a raised voice and kept butting in every time i tried to explain.
I asked her to serve a customer who was waiting to make an order, but she refused and made me the coffee and gave it to me and said "now I'll just give you the coffee for nothing" I informed her that, that was what she should do and that is considered good customer service after mishearing me (which is forgiveable) and going on to make a scene and embarrass me in front of everyone there.
As i walked away, she accused me of doing all this to get a free coffee, which is beyond a joke, i was more than happy to pay the difference.
I left feeling so stupid and embarrassed being in such a confrontational incident over a coffee, i feel like people in the shop judged me. Ruined my morning...
Read moreI have been to this Greggs twice and both times extremely poor service (once is a mistake twice is just bad service) I first went to this store a few months ago asked for a sausage roll and it was cold so I asked for a hot one they said they don’t have any all they could do was heat it up which I said yes please the lady servicing ,me huffed then proceeded to put the item in the microwave after it pinged just left me standing waiting for a few minutes so I had to interrupt her talking to her colleague and ask for my item Today I went back and again asked for a sausage roll and the item she gave me was cold, which I informed her so she gave me a new sausage roll so I told the lady (she was actually the manager serving me) this was also cold she said no its warm I told her no its cold can you please heat it up. which she said they cannot do this?!?! I was confused as they had offered this to me a previous time of visiting the store, so I thought I better check. So, I asked her are you refusing to heat up the cold food? Which she said yes so, I asked for something else which is hot she told me everything is the same temperature. At this point I realised I was not going to get anywhere if this is the attitude of the manager to act like I am asking for an unreasonable request of hot food. Would recommend anyone avoid this store – poor food and...
Read moreIf I could give this place a zero, I would. greegs used to be a place in which you could get fresh baked goods , now a place where they refuse to give any customer satisfaction the manager is a lady who is very unwelcome in, and refuses to be helpfull in any way . I came into the store to buy a sandwich, one of the ones you must heat up, seens she was going to heat up the sandwich I also asked if I could have one of the pastries warm at the same time , I was then told by a member of staff sorry we are not allowed to do this for you, as we where told not to. I was quiet surprised as the request did not breach any of the regulations, the food here dose not come out fresh out the oven as it sits for longer periods of time on the so called heated plates by the time any one gets there good they are no even warm, the rest of the staff are as useful as the manager due to her managing skills the rest of the team will give you the same welcoming experience which is non . Will only go back to this place...
