I’ve usually received great service at most Greggs locations I’ve visited, but my recent experience at the Ponders End branch was extremely disappointing. The service was poor, and the attitude and behaviour of the staff were unacceptable.
The doughnuts served were old, hard, and stale, showing a clear lack of care for product quality. Staff seemed more focused on their personal conversations than on serving customers, which came across as very unprofessional. I was even questioned, rather rudely, about why I was only buying one item ,something that should never happen in a customer facing role.
Additionally, the way they handled packaged goods was careless, simply throwing them down instead of serving them properly. It made the entire experience unappealing and discouraging.

Read moreThis is the worst Gregg's I have ever set foot in, the staff are rude and have a I don't care attitude, they never have anything in-stock especially the breakfast menu, normally rolls or baguettes if you can believe it, no matter the time of morning, always an excuse normally delivery didn't turn up. One time the breakfast menu was closed off early and the member of staff literally said I couldn't be arsed so I shut it down early. Barcode scan never works so you may as well forget using O2 priority, lived in ponders end for a year and a half and still doesn't work. It's quite literally a shambles of a store and the manager clearly does not care and is never onsite ever. Read moreI go to Gregg's most of the morning and I find their coffee and the food to be very good. I went to my local (ponders end) today and I was served from a young girl which was very rude. I ordered to stake bales and two coffees and I asked for a cup holder and she replied : we haven't got any and I said I can see it from here, you do have them, I can't I have it . She gave me a dirty look ,and made me feel very bad in front of everyone and no apology for her mistake. She looked like she was forced to work there. I think she needs more training as in my line of work if I do treat customers like that, I will go bankrupt very soon. I will not use that particular shop again as she really upset me this morning. I will continue to use Greggs as I this their food is nice and good...
