It all starts with bread. ThenâŠmore bread. Then finally (after one more slice of bread), the main dishes come out and the real fun begins. One thing that we didnât expect from Turkey was to enjoy the food so much! Turkey has so many different dishes it was impossible to try them all. No matter what your food preference is, you will not go hungry in this country. here is a selection of the dishes we lovedâŠ
Simit â The Turkish pretzel. Itâs a baked dough ring covered in sesame seeds. You can find them at anytime or anywhere and are a perfect snack. You could almost say itâs the national food of Turkey. Borek-Turkish-Food-974x649 Börek comes in many shapes and varieties. But it is essentially two things that we all love: pastry and cheese. Sometimes they will try to sneak some spinach in there to make it healthier, but you can totally pick that out in protest if you choose. Döner â Turkeyâs cheapest and best fast food. The chicken or lamb is slow roasted on a huge skewer and then thinly sliced off to be served on bread or rolled up in a wrap. It is topped with tomatoes, lettuce, a special tomato sauce (and, if you wish, ketchup and more....
Read moreVery bad experience with this restaurant. Would not recommend to anyone as they are scammers.
We had a really disappointing experience at Irmak Restaurant today. We came in and clearly told the staff we only wanted breakfast for 2 people as 4 girls. Despite this, they served us food for 4 people, even though we repeatedly said we didn't want that much to avoid wasting food. They brought out the extra dishes anyway, and when we reminded them again, they took the food awayâbut still made us pay for 4 people.
To make things worse, they added 2 extra teas to the bill that should have been part of the â4â people breakfast as they mentioned . This felt very unfair. Today's experience made us feel scammed and taken advantage of, especially that they made us pay for food that they took away and didnât serve.
We won't be coming back. It's unfortunate when a restaurant chooses short-term profit over honest customer service. The waiter was also very disrespectful, I would be speaking to him and he would just ignore. Donât come here if donât want...
Read moreIf I could give Irmak Restaurant 10 stars, I wouldâespecially after trying their YoÄurtlu Adana! This dish is an absolute masterpiece and easily one of the best versions Iâve ever had. The Adana kebab itself was flawlessly seasoned, with a rich, smoky char that melted in my mouth. The minced meat was juicy and packed with bold spices, perfectly balanced by the creamy, cool layer of fresh yogurt on top. Every bite was a harmony of textures and flavors, from the tender meat to the pillowy lavash bread beneath it.
What sets Irmakâs YoÄurtlu Adana apart is the attention to detailâthe quality of ingredients shines through, and you can tell itâs crafted with care. Iâve tried this dish at countless spots, but this one?
The warm service and inviting ambiance only added to the experience. Do yourself a favor and order the YoÄurtlu Adanaâitâs a must-try! Iâll definitely be back to explore more of the menu, but this dish alone is worth the visit.
Thank you, Irmak, for an...
