We’ve only been to this harvester twice and both times have been EXCELLENT we cannot wait to go back! Not only is the food incredible, the harvester is clean, the atmosphere is amazing and it’s a lovely place to eat. My biggest positive is to do with their allergen awareness and the staffs understanding - I am an extremely awkward customer, in that I have 4 very severe allergies (Nuts, Crustaceans, molluscs & Sesame) not only do they ASK about allergens before placing your order they go through a whole online system of ticking allergens, reading out what is contained/may contain, they speak to the chefs cooking your food, they check absolutely EVERYTHING to make sure it is safe and I have never ever had this kind of service in any restaurant! They go through absolutely everything you order with you to show you the allergens and the main contains and even ask the chef to use a different cooking method is something is cooked in the same fryer as one of the said allergens. I want to give a massive and special THANK YOU to our waitress Clare, j often feel like a pain and so awkward reeling off my allergens and my concerns about how my food is cooked. But she spent so much time with me and my partner going through both of our food to ensure I was happy with everything ordered, she asked the chef to confirm everything was safe (he had to cook my meal in a separate fryer due to cross contamination which was absolutely no problem for him at all) nothing was too much trouble for her and she made me feel so at ease, it was the most comfiest and safest meal I have EVER eaten out, she made me feel catered for and safe and I cannot thank her enough, she was also so kind and attentive, she’s a credit to your team. I also want to thank the chef who took special measures to ensure my meal was safe and i could eat at your restaurant, please pass on my thanks to him, its people like him who go unnoticed but deserve so much praise too! We will now be coming weekly as it’s our favourite place!!

We arrived at this place, being greeted by a friendly and polite manager. She seated up in a booth near the tills for staff. Five minutes into us sitting down there was a staff member arguing in front of us to the manager about how she doesn't want to serve us as she already has 7 tables and that we should be moved elsewhere to suit HER ( not the customer). The manager explained to her that the front of house is already full so we will have to stay put she then moaned saying that another member of staff should come around and serve us as she isn't. She then raised her voice to the manager explaining that 'this place is understaffed, you need to get more people'. I feel like this is absolutely disgusting how a member of staff is not only arguing and disrespecting her manager and team colleague but also arguing in front of the customer. Our new waitress was very bubbly, she had a nice attitude and was filled with enthusiasm. You could tell that she was slighty tired as her tables were scattered everywhere, which was a shame. She brought our drinks to us very quickly and took our order. Our order came 45mins later, and undercooked. Not just one steak was undercooked but all three! I have never experienced this before and the chips were extremely cold. She was very apologetic and made sure that the order was taken straight back, and provided us with a new meal. This took another 45mins to come and was cooked. When we finally got the meal we destined for it was delicious. The waitress took £10 off the bill, which was slighty unsatisfactory due to the fact that it was three meals not just one. Overall most of the staff are nice, food is good but this particular experience has left a bad taste in our mouth due to a combination of that particular staff member, waiting times, 3 undercooked meals and an unsatisfactory offer for a discount due to poor food.

I’ve had really tasty plant burgers here but today’s review is based on my Christmas Day lunch in 2022. I’ve visited this venue for Christmas lunch every year since 2016, aside from the year we were locked down, and it’s such a shame to see the food go downhill so much. The staff are really friendly and it’s proved to be good value for money in the past. Today really was a disappointment. All portions were really small, compared to the veggie options we’ve had in the past, with several accompaniments sadly lacking. Compare the first picture from a few years ago to the second one, taken today. The veggie/vegan menu never really changes (making it a bit boring) so I always order the vegan bake which normally tastes like delicious vegetarian stuffing. This year I was served what looked and tasted like a burnt, dry, veggie burger. No parsnips or carrots, a tiny helping of gravy, and despite asking for my meal to be reheated, it was still stone cold. Potatoes were rubbery on the outside and raw on the inside and there was a really long wait in between the starter and main. Maybe our dishes were left lying around to go cold and dry? But the portion size and lack of variety, flavour and taste in general was such a let down and I’m afraid we won’t ever return on Christmas Day.

We went out for a Sunday family dinner and let me tell you… it was a quite of an experience. After being led to the table we’ve received menus and salad bowls from Michelle ( who was our server throughout the rest of our stay ) . One of the bowls had some bits of food in it so I asked to replace her only to receive another dirty bowl from her.… after we ordered our drinks she brought them and asked if we were ready to order. I’ve never felt so much pressure from a waitress who said that ” If you’re not ready I have another table to serve… ” so after being rushed to order she took the menus without a word and walked off. 40 minutes later she came back she put the plates on the table with so much flare that she almost knocked a glass of juice on my mother-in-law… she warned us about skewers being hot and walked off again huffing and puffing. 2 out of 4 dishes had cold chips and my haloumi skewer, rice and flatbread were all cold. I’ve tried to find any of staff members to send it back but they were nowhere around the tables, only to be found at the bar area in a congregation, laughing and embracing each other. After someone finally acknowledged me and took my food I waited another 20 minutes to have it warmed up or replaced, and to get hot chips… after finally receiving my dish it was only lukewarm ( my family ate their dinner in the meantime ) . We had so much fun waiting so long for the food to get it cold, sitting in the dining room with chandeliers covered with cobwebs… great for haunted house interior with rude waitress Michelle. Dish in fact was taken off the bill and discount was issued but that doesn’t make up for poor customer service and lack of hospitality for the price we payed during our...
