I hadn’t visited The Chequers in a long time, but today I stopped by and was pleasantly surprised 🫶 The staff, Christy and Freddie, were absolutely lovely. It was great to see Freddie again and he even remembered me from when I used to be a regular a few years ago. Christy was very helpful and friendly and mentioned to me that it was BOGOF burgers today, which inspired my friend and me to order two. The burgers were fantastic, and the food overall was excellent. ❤️ The décor has been refreshed, and the new menu is a huge improvement. I used to come here mainly for drinks because I wasn’t a fan of the old menu, but this one is varied and tasty. If it wasn’t BOGOF on burgers, I would have had a hard time deciding what to eat! The drink selection is just as good, too. 🍹 The last time I was here, the pub needed a little love, and this refresh they have had is exactly what it needed! Looking forward to being a regular again. 🎊

Stopped by for Sunday lunch, first visit. Really beautiful place, extremely large on the inside with plenty of seating. Beer gardens at the front, rear and side, good sized car park. The interior was both smart and old. Very cosy place. Service was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nice choice of drinks. Good choice of food on the menu, we went for the Sunday roast beef and the fish and chips. The fish and chips was nice, the Sunday roast beef "served pink" wasn't quite pink. Prices were reasonable. Overall it's a really nice place and definitely one of the better pubs in the Bromley area and worth a visit.

Very disappointed with my food today. Had to add mayo to mash as didn't taste brilliant and added ketchup to beans as seemed overcooked. The churrios I had for dessert didn't taste that great either. I'm guessing most of my food was microwaved. Finally the member of staff working behind the bar seemed more interested in being on his mobile phone then doing his job. I won't be returning if I'm in the area again, I'll be going up the road to the harvester.

Very disappointing dinning experience. From the minute we pulled into the car park and saw the group of lads playing clubbing music from their car whilst sitting in the pub garden we wondered if we should have book elsewhere and things didn't get much better once we'd entered the bar through a door with a boarded up window. There was no one to meet and greet so we took ourselves to the bar where we were directed to our table. The restaurant was hardly what you'd call bustling so we were slightly surprised by the lack of service. We seated ourselves at the table marked with the sticky reservation sign and a table that looked as if it had been wiped over with the a jam sandwich We placed our orders and as advised on the menu we asked what the vegetarian option was for the day. We were told that if there wasn't any of the vegetarian option left then we could just have some extra veg. Still no one had come see if we were ok or in need of anything. It was only once the food had arrived that they realised that we had not been given any cutlery. One of our group had to send their roast chicken back due to its strange taste. The waitress came back and offered to replace the chicken with a single roast potatoes or some veg. By now the restaurant had emptied out but the service was still poor to say the least. We waited for almost 40 minutes after finishing our meal but no one came to clear the plates or offer any deserts or coffee at which point we decided enough was enough. We did get a refund for the roast chicken dinner but we did have to ask for this. Needless to say we will not...

Following a recommendation from my father, I organised a lunchtime visit for a group of older people. Contact with Charlene prior to our visit was great, the menu sent to me and I was confident our pre-orders had been received. 29 of us gathered for the ‘seniors’ special. Amazing value with 3 courses just £7.99. I was sceptical about that! However, the food arrived hot and well presented and with the choice available, I can’t fault a single thing about the lunch. We were served by a really lovely gentleman who was polite, extremely friendly and although clearly busy, kept his good humour for the duration of our visit. Nothing was too much trouble. The pub had a good atmosphere and it was a real pleasure to see everyone enjoying themselves so much. I only marking down slightly due to the very small toilet space, but I guess that unavoidable! It was very tight to get in and maybe a tidy/clean up would have been an idea during a busy lunchtime. However, this did not detract from the overall wonderful experience and we will absolutely be back! Thank you to the fab team at...

We visited on Friday evening for dinner. The employees were friendly and helpful, however the food was disappointing. I ordered a starter and 3 mains just after 7pm. One of the mains was for my 2 year old. By 7.45pm, the starter hadn't yet come out. We asked the waitress and she said it will be out in 5 mins. The starter came out at roughly 8pm. By this time, my toddler was very hungry. Luckily we had brought snacks with us. I had to chase them again for the 3 mains that still hadn't arrived after an hour had passed. Once the food arrived, it was average at best. I think this place is fine for drinks but I wouldn't recommend it for meals out with your family. The venue was about 1/3 full with customers. One other thing to note, whilst we were waiting for our mains, the waitress said that children aren't allowed on the premises after 9pm. I told her we would have left by now but we were still waiting for our mains...
