Haute Dolci, located in Ilford, London, offers a delightful dining experience with a menu full of tantalizing desserts and savory dishes. On our recent visit, we ordered the Dynamite Chicken and loaded fries as starters, followed by the French toast and Cheese-Licious burger as our main courses. Our server, Virender, was incredibly accommodating and provided excellent service throughout our meal.
To kick off our culinary adventure, we opted for the Dynamite Chicken and loaded fries as our starters. The Dynamite Chicken was a true explosion of flavors, with tender chicken pieces coated in a spicy and tangy sauce. The dish had just the right amount of heat to tantalize our taste buds without overwhelming them. The loaded fries were a heavenly combination of crispy fries topped with melted cheese, crispy bacon bits, and a tangy sauce. It was a fantastic start to our meal, leaving us eager for more.
Moving on to the main courses, the French toast and Cheese-Licious burger did not disappoint. The French toast was a delicious twist on a classic breakfast favorite. The thick slices of bread were perfectly golden and soaked in a rich egg batter, resulting in a fluffy and satisfying dish. Topped with a generous drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkling of powdered sugar, it was a decadent treat.
The Cheese-Licious burger was a carnivore's dream come true. The patty was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection. It was accompanied by a generous amount of gooey melted cheese, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tangy pickles, all sandwiched between a soft and lightly toasted bun. Each bite was a delightful blend of textures and flavors, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.
Throughout our dining experience at Haute Dolci, Virender provided exceptional service. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. His accommodating nature and friendly demeanor added to the overall positive experience at the restaurant.
One aspect worth noting is that there is paid parking available nearby, which is convenient for customers who are driving to the restaurant. This eliminates the hassle of finding parking in the busy streets of London and allows for a stress-free dining experience.
While Haute Dolci offered a memorable dining experience overall, there were a few minor areas for improvement. The menu could benefit from a wider variety of main course options, providing even more choices for diners with varying preferences. Additionally, the pricing of some dishes leaned towards the higher end, which might be a consideration for budget-conscious individuals.
In conclusion, Haute Dolci in Ilford, London, offers a delightful culinary experience with its delectable desserts and savory dishes. The Dynamite Chicken and loaded fries were bursting with flavor, while the French toast and Cheese-Licious burger provided a satisfying and indulgent main course. The exceptional service provided by Virender added to the overall positive experience. With paid parking available nearby, it is a convenient choice for diners seeking a stress-free dining experience. Although there is room for slight improvement in terms of menu variety and pricing, Haute Dolci is definitely worth a visit for those looking for a memorable...
Read moreUrgent Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Experience at Haute Dolci Ilford
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an extremely disappointing experience at your Ilford branch on (15/02/2025)Saturday night. What was supposed to be an enjoyable evening turned into an upsetting and frustrating ordeal due to the unprofessionalism of both the receptionist and the manager on duty.
Issue with Vouchers
We arrived at the restaurant with vouchers from three+ , which, according to 3PLUS, are valid at Haute Dolci Ilford. However, without any proper explanation, the receptionist outright refused to accept them. When we inquired further, she dismissed our concerns with a rushed and unhelpful response, making it clear she had no intention of assisting us.
When I escalated the issue to the manager, his response was shockingly unprofessional. Instead of addressing the matter, he stated that he was “not supposed to work that day” and that he had been called in from his sleep, so he had no idea what to do with the vouchers. This is an unacceptable attitude for someone in a managerial position at a well-reputed establishment. He then directed me to another staff member, only to immediately inform me that she was too busy to assist.
Unacceptable Behavior from the Manager
The situation worsened when we proceeded to place our order. We were a group of 10, including children, and as we were finalizing our choices, we encountered multiple items that were unavailable, forcing us to rethink our order. This process took only a few extra minutes. However, while my relative was still in the middle of ordering, the manager snatched the iPad from the server’s hands and moved to another table—blatantly signaling that we were taking too long.
This act was beyond rude. It was humiliating and completely unprofessional. The server was visibly apologetic, but the manager showed no remorse. When my relative attempted to confront him about his behavior, he was met with even more rudeness and an unapologetic attitude.
Final Decision
At that moment, it became clear that we could not tolerate such disrespectful treatment, and we had no choice but to walk out. I have numerous relatives who regularly dine at this location, but after this experience, I will make sure that none of them return. This level of mistreatment toward paying customers is completely unacceptable, and I refuse to support a business that operates this way.
I expect immediate action to be taken regarding this complaint. The manager’s behavior should be reviewed, and he must be held accountable for his actions. I urge you to check your CCTV footage from that night to see firsthand how poorly we were treated. I would be happy to provide additional details if necessary.
I look forward to your prompt response, outlining the steps you will take to ensure such incidents do not happen again. Please reach out to me at your...
Read moreWent to eat in this brand new dessert shop in ilford. We didn’t make a reservation online as I didn’t want to pay a £40 deposit (which is more than our desserts and drinks cost us) so we decided to walk-in. We had to queue outside, in the heat, for half an hour. Then we were selected from the queue to go in, we asked for a table for 2, only for desserts. We were seated on a table that had seating for at least 8 people, so I was a little confused on why we were able to jump ahead of the group of 4 who were in front of us. Whilst waiting outside, we could see empty tables inside, so that was also confusing on what the wait was, maybe there were reserved… Before seated we were taken to the counter, where the cashier asked if we were related to the owner, which I thought was a strange/random question but maybe a lot of his relatives were visiting at the time. Once seated a waiter introduced himself and said he could talk us through the menu. Raj was very helpful, he even helped us save money by choosing one of the deals instead of ordering our drinks and desserts separately. We ordered the apple spritz and strawberry mojito. The apple tasted better than the strawberry, although it was the cheaper option. I would recommend the apple if you like a slight apple flavour. For desserts we ordered a waffle with milk chocolate and strawberries (forgot the actual name) and we also ordered a chocolate sponge pudding with ice cream (also forgot the name of this dessert). Both were very nice, I especially liked the chocolate sponge, it had a crunchy, nutty middle at the top of the sponge, would definitely recommend trying. We also were able to choose a teaser as part of one of the deals, we chose dipped strawberries, it wasn’t plural, it was ONE strawberry dipped in chocolate. The service was quite slow, the drinks took at least 20 minutes to come out and then the desserts took another 15 minutes after that. Not sure why it was so slow, they didn’t acknowledge that so I’m guessing it’s their regular pace. Whilst seated, tables around us were empty yet there was still a very long queue outside. I began to think they wanted there to be a long queue outside so it looked super busy, which would be very disappointing especially in this heatwave to make your customers wait unnecessarily. Overall, the decor was very nice, seating was interesting, desserts were very nice, price was decent - for 2 drinks and 2 desserts plus service charge the total was £31.90. It is pricier than other dessert places but it definitely looks like a shop that would be on the more expensive side. I would revisit to try other desserts as I have a sweet tooth, but I would have liked if they told us what the golden keys were about. Raj was our waiter, very helpful and aniqa and Faizan...
