Northwood Piazza — Restaurant in London

Very mixed feeling about this place, I came one Sunday for lunch, and what most people rated as "good service and friendly staff" I didn't feel any of it. But after I observed a while with other tables where older customers are seated, I did notice the service staff is a bit more tentative.

Well here is my view - the restaurant decor is dated and older people will find the place comforting whilst more younger generation may find this slightly "out of date". Food was definitely average for me, for an authentic Italian restaurant the pizza was disappointing. However, my husband has the special lamb cutlet and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Wine selection was poor and not impressed. As I mentioned above, service is also not up to the standard being a silver-service staff myself once in a prestige restaurant chain. Ambience in the restaurant is below average. I rated three-star is more a sympathy rate as it's really down to personal choice regarding decor. Personally if I have to rate it in tune with other restaurants I have rated so far, Northwood Piazza would result in a 2-star rating, 2-star being convenience to get to and spacious as not many customers...

Having been recommended this restaurant by a co-worker a few hours earlier, my wife, brother-in-law & I decided to try it this evening (18/7/14).

My wife had tagliatelle rustiche, my B-I-L has the spaghetti bolognese, and I had the filetto al pepe verde... All were excellent.

The staff were very friendly & fun, and the service was excellent. It was also very good value for money.

My only complaint had nothing to do with the staff, service or food, but was due to a young family with what appeared to be a few week-old baby which would not stop crying / screaming. When we mentioned it to the staff, they appologized, and we were promptly re-seated away from the noise.

The person who gave this place a 1-star review must have been referring to a different restaurant!

Hello my new favorite Italian restaurant! Disclaimer: It is quite understated on the outside, has a lowkey hole-in-the-wall vibe, at first sight. But my goodness, you enter a charming little world of delicious soul food accompanied by warm and welcoming service. The servers went out of their way to accomodate our specific dietary needs and the food exceeded expectations. I was recommended Northwood Piazza by local friends and family and was honestly blown away by how tasty the food was. Reccomendations: You must try the Tagliatelle Calabresi, Penne all' Arrabbiata, Bruschetta, Scamponi & Pizza. The flavor and freshness are out of this world.
