The bar staff were nice and the interior is comfortable and they also have big screens for the football. My only complaint is that the landlady was rude and unwelcoming.
She was happily joking and chatting with the locals but when she came to my table she bluntly asked me if I was finished with my drink even though it was still a quarter full and in my hand. She also saw my bottle of water which was by my feet and she said I shouldn't have it and she gave me a dirty look. Never had a problem with having bottles of water with me in pubs before. Some have even kindly filled them up for me when I've asked. I could understand if it was a bottle of coke or something you had to pay for but it was water!
I was quietly enjoying my drink until I encountered this woman. She should learn some manners. I certainly wasn't rude in any way to her.
It was great going there in the summer. The lad behind the bar was very friendly and it was nice to sit outside. No problems with having water either.
Anyway, the pub has it's positives but being made to feel unwelcome isn't a great way to bring in customers. No need to be rude and as my mother taught me, manners...

Pub can be very noisy on Friday Saturday nights with overly loud music, can’t hear yourself speak.
The landlady is a horrible rude woman as you can see from 100s of other reviews.I’d spent a fair amount of money there on food and when my girlfriend asked if she could get a water a normal friendly bartender started pouring it for her. Then out of nowhere the grump of a landlady arrived and started shouting at her saying she’s not allowed and snatched the water away. The bartender I could tell was very embarrassed as the staff are all lovely. I went to the bar to find out what was happening and I got shouted at too. Finally after explaining by law she has to serve us water since it’s a pub selling alcohol she ridiculously moodily gave us our water.
I do genuinely feel very sorry for her because to be that rude and moody, she must’ve gone through some tough times in life. Hope she sees a therapist to overcome her issues and the Misty moon has the potential to grow into a the best pub...
Read moreReally, the Three Wishes pub should have a separate listing from the Thai restaurant as they are separate businesses in the same space. First, the pub. At 6 on a Saturday evening it was packed with people watching sports on the many large and loud tv screens. The landlord was working very hard and efficiently; one of the other staff was good, the other not so much. The range of beer and the prices were not great, especially in comparison with Wetherspoons. The food is Thai. You take a menu and when you've chosen you ring a bell on the wall and somebody comes from the kitchen to take your order. We had the combination starter, which was good and quite large. My wife had prawn pad thai, which she liked, saying the prawns were plentiful and juicy. I had a stir fried beef dish which was also good, not as spicy as some Thai restaurants. £48 without drinks. I think it's a very good place to eat if you like this sort of pub. If you are thinking of going for a quiet Thai meal, you'll probably want to...
