Oak Hill Park Cafe — Restaurant in London

Went there few times. Each time the food is getting higher in price and less portion and the hygiene of the place including the kids soft play area is zero. No mobile good reception and wifi is not available. Not again and is not recommended

First of all you don’t teach parents how to deal with their kids, a tired parent never gets blamed, I was trying to fill my children’s needs, it is my choice to buy them food or if they asked me to buy food. At the end I was polite and never harmed you. You said that I only bought a kids menu and I am complaining of the prices, dear I come so often to your cafe and each time I order many things, just to remind you the time before this one I ordered two kids menu, apple crumble and a latte. I had to remind you 3 times of my latte, you forgot the juices for the kids menu and the ice cream on the apple crumble and I was the only customer in the softplay. The other time I came with my friends and we waited one hour for the food. So the next time you accuse someone that he doesn’t pay enough please be sure of who the customer is. Let us focus on the bigger issue which is the hygenic of your place as I can see from other one star reviews they all complain about the cleanliness of the place and I can see how rude you answer them. If you consider the hygiene of your place is a silly thing I don’t know then what is not silly for you , if you think the bad smell of the rear room near the bathrooms and the disgusting sticky table are silly honestly you should shut down your doors , it is a family neighbourhood and we bring our kids to your place , trust me if you were not the only one in the area no one will step into your disgusting shop and Before you worry about my mental health or how I deal with my own kids get your hands into your pockets and spend some money to resolve the issues I listed. From your reply to my review it means you are nice as far as we give you 5 stars but becomes very rude when I give one star. Dear deal with it and accept it I am the customer and I write my experience and anyone can walk in and see by themselves. First time I went there in summer 2014, I ordered a sandwich and it came one side with a mould discovered after biting in it. So they replaced me with a new one and a sorry. I didn’t make a big fuss about that- I could have report them! Everything was ok then until I got a child in Late 2015. I went quite frequently with my daughter in the soft play area when it‘s bad outside and was happy enough to pay £1,50 until she turns one. The place is not always clean and the staff/Boss not always friendly. If you’re lucky, they make fresh meal if not sometimes they just heated up. We‘ve experienced some funny smell at our children pasta at times. We‘ve celebrated our daughters second birthday there as we live only 5 mins waking distance from that place. Once our enquiry has been made they were so friendly and tell you what you like to hear- but on the day it wasn’t that great! The toilet smelled and we had to ask the stuff to clean it. There was little and sometimes no music to entertain the kids. Even after we‘ve requested music-they we’re working on the CD player or so!! Bad organisation!!! Other time, me and my friend with 4kids together we’re at the soft play and had lunch- the boss asked us to keep our kids voice down as she is on the phone I couldn’t have the conversation as the kids were loud- what is she thinking?!? It’s softplay area for children and you can’t tell them to be quiet?!??

Today I am having two kids 7m and 27m Old, wanted to go to the softplay again- they are having a birthday party at 1:30pm which is fine with me! We would have ca 1,5 hour left. But they ask me to leave my buggy outside the softplay area as it would mark the floor?!?! We have always parked inside the softplay and it wasn’t busy at all? My double buggy wasn’t dirty and my little one was sleepy so I would have leave him in there to fall asleep. But as they make a big fuss about that- I just left! I went today with my child and ordered a sandwich, I waited about 15min and when they gived me the sandwich I asked politely to put it in take a way bag! The staff was so rude (I didn't mean the young lady who takes the orders, she is always nice and polite)! Then the man who served me was very rude with me, he started to argue with me and he said that I should have told him earlier and he started talking to me loudly and rudely in front of my son and the other customers outside. I said sorry to him and that I think I asked for take away earlier but he continued complaining even after I asked him to stop speak with me in that rudely way. But even if is my fault and I forgot to specify, it does not gives him the right to speak rudely and so bad to me, why I did not say that and etc. I don't think is so big problem and gives him permission to speak with pregnant woman with a little child like that! They shouldn't speak with any of the customers in that way! I have been regular customer for about 6 years with my children and I never mentioned anything or been rude with any of the staff when they forgot my orders or makes something wrong ( it's been happened not only once! Once I waited for more then a hour and I didn't make any problem that they was forgot my order, after I asked them many times what happened with it), so I am really disappointed with the customer...
