The Osidge Arms — Restaurant in London

DO NOT GO HERE! An absolutely awful place to visit! I would not recommend this place to my enemy. The service I experienced today was the worst customer service I have ever seen. I had made a reservation last week for a birthday meal for which they gladly accepted my booking. Upon arrival, there was no-one to greet us and once someone had finally noticed we were stood there, we got told to go outside and find an empty table ourselves. When we had ordered our meal, the sides and salad arrived halfway through our main course and only did so after being reminded that we had not received them yet. (The salad was 90% onions which was the least disappointing thing to happen this evening.) Furthermore, we were asked to pay as we sat down and ordered which I thought was rather odd, especially for a restaurant. What if we had wanted to order more? Or weren't happy with the order? During our meal, there were no wait staff to tend to us as you would expect at a regular restaurant or even a cafe. Afterwards, we had to flag someone down to tell them to bring out the birthday cake we had brought with us. We waited for about 20 minutes until asking a second individual to do the same. After waiting for about 10 more minutes, we decided that we had simply had enough so wanted to get the cake and leave. As we asked for our cake and complained about the service, the people behind the bar were very rude and even started talking about us behind our backs whilst we were leaving about how we should not have gone there to celebrate a birthday on the day of opening. They did this in Turkish, possibly thinking we wouldn't hear or understand which is plain disgusting. They should not be in this industry if this is the way they treat their customers.

All in all, apart from the first waitress we had, who had just started and was trying her best, the staff were rude and did not attend to their customers at all. The place was dirty, breaking apart and in my opinion did not meet the current COVID guidelines

I had my daughters birthday their yesterday.. i had an awful experience. I booked their garden for whole day also when i booked i was never told i couldn't bring my own food. My daughter is highly allergic to nuts even contaminated food is really dangerous. So brought my own. when we turned up to the venue owner started the argument that 'how can we bring food here what do you think this is now you need to pay me more. When we said this is not acceptable you should of said this in the beginging. Then he said either pay me double or i will give you your money back and leave. He was extremely rude, he was screaming his head of. Even arguing with him i felt so dirty .Basically i had no choice not to pay him. My guests were on their way entertainer was their already. He ruined my our day. Extremely disappointed i would never in million years go back in their. Awful people...

So my family arranged for me my wife and daughter to meet them there as a birthday get together and to my surprise dispite what the name of the restaurant reads it really was a nice Turkish buffet style restaurant.

Yes the concept does throw you off as it is a pub scenery however the atmosphere is the closest you'll feel to a proper family owned restaurant in Turkey.

The buffet doesn't offer much warm verity, more so cold Meze style dishes and a few pastry options however you are able to order hot dishes like eggs or pide.

All in all it is definetly worth the visit and I can comfortably say I will be visiting again.

Also I would like to add that the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Smiling and happy to serve you without any chore...
