Parathas Lounge — Restaurant in London

After visiting many restaurants within the area, I happened to come across Paratha Lounge. As soon as I walked in, a member of staff greeted my family and I with utmost respect- something very rare!. The menu had numerous selections of parathas- many combinations completely unheard of- which is wonderful. I can see that there is a healthy blend of tradition and modern uptake of classical Indian dishes. The food did take some time to arrive, but that is expected. It gives an understanding of how food is prepared behind the scenes. When the food arrived, it was beautifully presented and one could tell instantly that the food is fresh and cooked onsite as per our requirements. It was a pleasant surprise to know that the food items on the menu can be altered and additional ingredients could be inserted. In addition to this, many condiments and curry's could be topped up as one enjoyed the parathas. The staff are very respectful, humble and approachable. Every member serving, cooking and seating knew their menu and made some very useful recommendations. It's wonderful to know that staff are passionate about working at this restaurant and know what they are serving. Thank you staff! The ambience of the restaurant is wonderful too. Great care has been taken to ensure that cleanliness is of supreme quality as is the quality of the furniture (seating and tables). All in all, I would highly recommended Paratha Lounge to any family who values good quality food made fresh with the correct fashion of traditional yet modern Indian spices. We recently celebrated my birthday with my entire family at Parathas Lounge, and I can't recommend this place highly enough. It was a great experience, offering excellent value for money, tasty food, and genuinely great service.

Our waiters were attentive and very kind and our food arrived quickly, which was perfect for our large group. The menu has fantastic choices of dishes, and every single one we ordered was a hit (I recommend the Crispy Bhindi, Garlic Chilli Mogo, Chilli Tofu and Paneer Tikka for starters and the Pudina Paneer Paratha, Mooli Spring Onion Paratha) —everyone in the family thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

A special shout-out goes to the manager, Jinal, who was incredibly helpful. She assisted me with pre-ordering our starters and was honest about portion sizes, ensuring we ordered the right amount of food without any waste. Her guidance made the whole process seamless.

Awful service. We were a party of 10 for Fathers Day. We arrived on time, were told they needed the table back in 2 hours. They didnt tend to us for 25 mins (we were ready to order within10 mins from arrival). Starters arrived sporadically, without cutlery or plates and needed to be requested 3 times. I requested drinking glasses and ice 4times within half an hour! The mains arrived well over an hour later and we were starving. The food was spicy although the portions were generous the elders struggled. They were quick to bring the bill with a service charge of 10%. We refused to pay the additional 10% and the manager (short bald man with an eery smile and zero manners) was not having it. He couldn't explain to us what the charge was for or apologise for the awful service.... "you have to pay" and walked away. We paid some of it and walked away. If they know theyre going to be busy, then have more staff and organisation in place so that food goes out on time and the staff are not stressed delivering horrendous service. We wont be back again. Other customers didn't look happy...
