Yesterday we reached there at 10.45pm (close at 11pm) and we were told eat in area was closed. I said my 2 guests have come from long way and we just like to eat desserts. Five minutes later another senior staff came and said same thing and I said we don't mind waiting and at same time, party of 8 were leaving (we were 4) so we waited patiently.
Then after another 3 minutes another senior staff (looked like the owner) came and told us no eating in just takeaway do you want it. As I was with the guests I decided to do takeaway. Our order was ready literally in 5 minutes and two tables were empty and there were quite few other customers sitting in and waiting for their food/dessert, so didn't understand why we couldn't have just desserts which was ready in 5 minutes and 2 tables were free!!
And to add to their arrogance attitude they charged me full price instead of Eat Out Help Out offer, so I had to pay full price as I my guests were with me.
When reached home after 10 minutes waffles were cold soggy and ice cream half melted.
The prices are absolutely RIP OFF, on top of that staff & management with very...
Read moreTerrible customer service - waitress on duty on Tuesday 30 July looked like she was doing us a favour when taking our order with a miserable look on her face. Kept walking away to attend to other walk-ins while we were placing order! She did this twice, walked away without a word whilst taking our order. We were a large group gone for desserts and while enquiring about certain ingredients in the food, all we got was a blank expression from her with a YES or NO response and she walked away.
Why we did not walk away from this restaurant at the time is what beats me. Never again will we step into Twist. Over priced for the dishes on menu and absolutely zero customer service and we walked out with total dissatisfaction & disappointment. I settled the bill at the till and again no word of thanks from her while handing me the receipt - such attitude for what? Lady quit your job if you ain't happy here.
Better to go to Indulge Pinner where customers are always welcomed with a smile and helpful waiters ready to serve with plenty...
Read moreI have gone to Twist a few times in the past and recommended by a friend (for context who is a girl of Indian descent) and usually receive decent service.
Yesterday i had gone with my friend (for context myself and my friend are black) and received a completely different experience.
I was not greeted nicely but was told that food was sold out, was not directed or shown a seat to sit, and we had to pay for our order on arrival.
All the above is quite a different experience to the experience i have shared with my friend of Indian Descent. Bear in mind that the other customers had also paid on exit, not on entry.
If i had not received good experience before i would not be posting however the consistency of the manner is important to me as a customer and the only common denominator is that i had entered the premises with a different 'crowd'. Will not be going back again and encourage people to echo their experiences so i can understand whether this was an issue...
