Overpriced coffee, cheap cupcake, rude staff - I am not from this area so thankfully I have no reason to return here, but even if I was I would never give my money to this place. The lady was very rude and not welcoming at all, she acted like I had walked in right before they were going home (it was 1 hour until closing). I was looking up at the menu trying to find where it said about the coffee and before I even got to the counter she said “kitchens closed” as if I were to know that! I got an iced coffee, which came half filled (see the picture I sent to my friends in disbelief) - £4.80 is something you expect from a big chain, not an independent coffee shop with very weak, not very nice coffee. I also ordered a cupcake which I could see was £2.20. I didn’t particularly want one however I needed something to snack on. The mark up for this must have been 200% as it was definitely something you get out of a Tesco value multipack. I genuinely couldn’t believe the total of this being £7. I’m not tight, but the price didn’t warrant the product at all. So, save your time and money.

I am so happy to have discovered this place. Not only is the food delicious, but it’s very reasonably priced as well. It’s also very kid friendly, without feeling like a children’s restaurant. They have a wonderful choice of foods for the kids, and they serve their meals with child friendly cutlery. The service is outstanding, highly recommend.

Lovely little cafe that does all-day breakfast. Very cosy and homely. A lot of locals come here, staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Lots of vegetarian options but not too many vegan ones. Had the pancakes, very generous with the portion. Dogs most definitely welcome!!

I've been coming here for many, many years when this was Boyden's Kitchen. As Boyden's it was delightful with great food and friendly staff. Recently there has been a change of management and, sadly, standards have slipped - and not for the better I'm afraid. The soya milk had curdled and despite them opening a fresh carton it made no difference. The 'sausage sarnie' (£4.25) was just a fried sausage slapped between two slices of bread. There was no garnish and no attempt was made at presenting it in an attractive manner. It reminded of the sort of stuff I used to eat in greasy spoons in the mid-70s! When we complained the server, who looked like the manager shrugged his shoulders and said that's how it comes. Well I am deeply disappointed and, unless standards improve soon, I won't be coming back. Nor will I be recommending the place. I'm very sad and deeply...

Very disappointing experience today- after waiting over an hour for our food, we had to check where it was and were told it would be a further 10-15 minutes, so we were forced to leave as we’d ran out of time.

I can understand you were fairly busy but as you have a very small kitchen it seems you should either prioritise customers sitting in for food or stop takeaways altogether in busy periods as it seems you’re unable to handle the extra orders.

You could also warn people that they’re facing long wait times when they order food.

We’ve eaten here a few times before and the food has always been good, which is why it’s not a 1 star, but the experience today was very disappointing and I’d definitely think twice about...
