Came for a Friday evening meal, to try out this new promising place which is a fantastic addition to our neighborhood. The venue is impressive once upstairs. A "craft beer style" warehouse with ambient light, and nice crowd of people. The food was fantastic, the artichokes were chargrilled to absolute perfection. Served on bed of mixed grain, "barley style risotto" this was a very well crafted combination. Puddings were quite experimental, high quality chocolate mousse and olive oil and coffee and smoked chestnut, we both really enjoyed them, what more would you want on a Friday evening. Well yes one thing missing, was the front of the house manager's polite and welcoming attitude. We assume she was the manger as she was dressed differently to the rest of the staff and had a very domineering attitude. Between forcing us to the bar area at first, for no reason despite our request, and later telling me something to the tune of "I'm well know for my mind reading skills but you still need to tell me what your order is" when debating my menu choice, my experience of the evening was quite ruined despite the food and other staff being wonderful. Nobody needs this attitude on a Friday evening. It could have been just me, you never know. So don't be put off by it ☺️ the food truly is amazing!

Oh dear.. seems as though Renegade do not do Sundays well. Chaotic service start to finish.. I felt a bit sorry for the staff as it seemed like they were having to look after both the bar and the floor.. had to wave the staff down multiple times, then things like half the plates/glasses cleared and the rest left, oysters came out after the rest of the starters, bread came out with no side plates. We witnessed many tables stacked with dirty plates as the staff seemed overwhelmed. In terms of the food we enjoyed the oysters, bread and starters, but the roasts a let down. The beef was raw, full of fat, cold and inedible (see pic) and my in-law had the veggie squash which was also cold and undercooked. The roast potatoes were the best bit However the worst thing was the arrogant and quite frankly disgusting head chef. Not only did we have to listen to his effing and blinding for 2 hours, we also witnessed him eating food and licking his fingers and then touching the food as he served it. He also shouted at the waiters and his own kitchen staff like they were dogs At least the wine was good

As wine lovers it was probably just a matter of time before we came here. The location is really great with the barrels downstairs and the industrial vibes. Nothing not to love. We enjoyed two delicious Sunday roasts with beef. The potatoes were so nice but under salted. It’s not the same salting potatoes once they are done, the salt needs to be integrated in the cooking process. It’s like a whole different flavour. But enough about the potatoes, the food was still a 5. 🙂The service a little chaotic but friendly. A few words about the wine ‘experience’ itself: in a place like this you would expect the staff to explain the wines at least a little and reasonable prices for the tasting flights. Isn’t the idea to have a taste and maybe buy a bottle or two? We found the flights were a bit overpriced with £24 for 4 small glasses. Overall a fun place!

Came for mothers day. Delicious wine. Lovely roast, good portions, great quality meat. Nice ambience and music. Friendly service. Delicious desserts. Everyone agreed they were the best part of the meal. Wonderful to be surrounded by all the wine making equipment and up at mezzanine level.

Roast could be improved by more veg and gravy, and (a simple but big improvement) if they served on hot plates. The serving of veg for 2 is more appropriate for a single portion. The meal was cold quite quickly. I've seen others say the same here and hope they take this onboard, it would make all the difference.

The red wine was absolutely fabulous but served with quite a large amount of sediment which ruined the last few sips to what was a really fabulous red. When I mentioned it the server said 'yeh our wine can be quite sedimenty' so I don't think the feedback was taken onboard.

Service was slow (we had to ask for them to take our food order after half HR of being there and we also had to ask twice for desserts. Resulted in us rushing at the end to give back the table by our allotted time. This all made it feel difficult at times when managing two kids)

Says 'kid-friendly' on website which is why we went for it, but catering for kids is an afterthought with no kids drinks or menu, no non-glassware etc. It would be fantastic if they could address this.

Would like to go back for wine and small plates in evening as the wine was delicious and I'd love to...

We’re really excited to try the new food and Sunday roasts here. Booked a table but was not too busy when we arrived. Although the servers were very nice and friendly, my partner ordered a sampler of wines and when drinks arrived we discovered that he had an incorrect menu and got different wines to what was ordered, when we told the server she just laughed and said his menu was not correct. She did not take it away or replace it with a correct one. Quite baffled by this. Food was eye wateringly expensive, the plate comes with 2 thin slices of beef, 3 potatoes and what appears to be a pre bought Yorkshire pudding, and some gravy. A tiny bowl of 3 veg was given to us to share between 2, I would have been happy with that portion for myself but absolutely not to share. A ramekin of extra gravy and horseradish was given. I asked for some salt and pepper as the food was very bland (to my personal taste). They said they had no salt. I genuinely could not get over this. Fair enough if they have no serving salt shakers, but they should- they’re an establishment with a kitchen.., but to not even offer to get a little pot from the kitchen is what really bothered me. No check back during the meal. Bill was approx £120 for 2 x roast beef, 1 x wine sampler, 2 x cocktails, 1 x glass of wine, 1 x pudding & service charge. A man started playing the piano right behind us, was so loud we could no longer hear each other talk and felt like a clashing vibe...

We always love to search for new quirky places to bring our friends to and especially a Dog friendly one. Renegade popped up and we had to try. First impressions was good as you enter a working brewery then up some steps to the restaurant. Up to 6.30pm was the happy hour but only between three of their wines. Now the big let down. We were at the bar - a non reserved space. We already spent up to £70 on drinks and food between the 3 of us. Enjoying the atmosphere and our friend reunion we are then approached by a waitress and her manor to ask us if we are going to order anything else was in the manner of stop wasting space for more customers. . The bill took its sweet time getting to us and by now practically all the staff were looking at us with the look of distaste that we are a bunch of time wasters. Finally the bill came, the nicety's of the waitress at zero percent as she rushed for us to pay. And almost directly after my card pinged that cash across did another waiter come over and tell us they need our space for others with a straight face. Now it's crazy. It's not a reserved space. We had paid for food and drink, there wasn't a queue of people. And still empty lower seats to fill. And because of this bad business choice of kicking us out for a random next customer at 8.30pm when we arrived at 5.45pm.. They lost the word of mouth they need as we left with a bad taste. Sad times 😫 not even joking even my dog was...
