Genuinely really disappointed and feel as if I’ve been scammed. The amount of oxtail in the portion of oxtail and rice and peas is so pathetic it genuinely makes me angry. There’s a marginal amount of oxtail and underneath that amount there is still rice. Putting unseasoned cabbage on top doesn’t make that any better. The rice and peas doesn’t even look or taste right down to the type of rice they’ve even used. It’s like they only care about profit and not the customer at all and it shows by the food I received today. I’ve heard family say they go here for rotis and so hope thats better but what I ordered I genuinely feel as if I’ve been scammed or deceived. I was looking forward to eating this after a long day only to find that the portion of the actual oxtail isn’t even large enough to satiate my hunger at all. As I write this review I’m literally sitting here trying to wrap my mind around how someone can portion out pretty much 2 tablespoons of oxtail and charge someone for that and...

I truly love Sunjam and have been a loyal customer for years — the roti is the best in the area But I have to be honest: continuing to operate as a cash-only business with no delivery service in 2025 is seriously hurting your potential.

Every time I visit, I witness customers turning around and walking out simply because card payments aren’t accepted. That’s not just a minor inconvenience — it’s a major loss of revenue. In this day and age, people expect the option to pay by card, and most don’t carry cash anymore.

On top of that, you’re missing out on a huge audience who would love to support you but can’t physically make it to the store. By not being on delivery platforms like Uber Eats, Deliveroo, or Just Eat, you’re leaving even more money on the table and limiting your reach.

I’m saying this because I genuinely care and want to see this place thrive. Please consider adapting — Sunjam has so much potential to grow, but modernising your payment and delivery options is essential...

Went to this place on 20th May 2023. Placed an order for oxtails with rice and peas and curry goat with rice and peas. Three beef patties and two Gunness punch. Oxtails absolutely disappointed to find it dry tasteless the rice and peas was not rice and peas more like jollof rice and peas. Curry goat was pretty much the same tasteless. The patties was very, very dry. This restaurant has gone down in ratings within providing decent cooked meals to enjoy , now it's not worth attending or wasting your money on. I am so disappointed as i haven't been here in a few year's and back then the food was decent.
