Now, let's talk about the lasagna ā a true masterpiece! I can confidently say that it was the best lasagna I've ever had. Each bite was a perfect harmony of flavors and textures. The layers of tender pasta, rich meat sauce, and creamy cheese melted together to create a mouthwatering symphony of taste. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was impeccable. I appreciated the attention to detail and the evident culinary skill that went into crafting such a remarkable dish.
Aside from the lasagna, the Alma Pub boasts an extensive menu with a variety of options to suit every palate. From classic pub fare to more adventurous dishes, there is something for everyone. The pub also offers a well-curated selection of drinks, including a range of beers, wines, and spirits, ensuring that your dining experience is accompanied by the perfect beverage of your choice.
Moreover, the staff at the Alma Pub deserves special mention. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to ensure that every guest had a memorable experience. Ā Ā Ā Read moreAppalling attitude from the manager. We ordered a JƤgermeister and immediately noticed it didnāt taste right. When we questioned it, instead of listening, the manager stormed over and snapped āwhatās your problem?ā - unbelievably rude.
After insisting, she finally showed us the bottle and it turned out they were serving a different herbal drink, not JƤgermeister at all. Any decent establishment would have apologised straight away for serving the wrong product, but instead she dismissed our concerns, claimed it was āthe same thing,ā and refused to take any responsibility.
Mistakes with drinks can happen, but the real issue here was the managerās sheer arrogance, rudeness, and complete lack of customer service. No apology, no professionalism, just hostility.
We left feeling disrespected and cheated. If this is how management deals with customers, Iād strongly advise avoiding this place. All you have to do is look at other reviews and her responses to see the kind of attitude they take with...
Read moreCASH ONLY pub? Didnt realise these things still existed to be honest. I like the pub, I like the beer but I didnt like the service. We had an unfortunate mishap of throwing a party there with the expectation of them doing a bbq, as advertised. However it wasnt on, then we was stuck with £2.50 rolls which the lady serving appeared she couldn't be bothered to do. I wish I had the pictures to show, but it was very disappointing and quite embarrassing as we wasnt allowed to get any other food from outside and they wasnt prepared to give more than "ham and cheeserolls" alot of hungry guests that ordered £200 worth of BOGOF pizzas next door. Missed business for them I guess. The cherry on the cake was, my nephew, barely 1 year old, being told he wasnt allowed a ball in the garden, the poor boy could barely walk, let alone play games.
Despite that, the landlord did come out and apologise, the function room is lovely, just really not a place to eat at. (WE REALLY WISH IT WAS, THEY WOULD...
