Wow. Where do we even begin with how amazing the whole George IV team are? They did everything we could have asked for and more to make our wedding reception in The Boston room so special. They were professional, fun, relaxed and organised all at the same time. The Boston Room is absolutely gorgeous to begin with. When we saw it fully dressed though we were absolutely speechless with the amazing job the team had done. It’s such a great space - for both meal and dancing!!! Next, the food and wine - yum! We’ve had guests say this is the best wedding food they have ever had. My only problem was the wedding breakfast was so generous I barely had room for the evening food - luckily some of our guests found room! :) And finally a special shout out to Christina who coordinated the whole day. She’s absolutely lovely, and utterly on top of things - quietly making sure every part of the day was spot on. Even creating confetti when we forgot ours! Thank you so much for being A-MA-ZING! It’s again a MUST Visit when in West London and Chiswick. The place is one of the best if not friendliest pubs in West London welcoming staff and great food. I popped in today for a few drinks and bit of food the venue didn’t let me down. Have been here many times over the last few months when I can aa live local and the food has got better and better. I did in the past give not the best reviews of the venue as they did have a chef that to be honest wasn’t the best even though I believe they had a great reputation maybe not for cooking. The food is some of the best. I have also been informed that they well be a new menu for autumn and winter I can’t wait till that cones if the menu at the moment has anything to go by. I can only ask that you give the George IV Chiswick a visit and experience it all from the atmosphere friendly staff and great food. I will be back for Sunday Lunch it’s great too.

The staff were great and accommodating. The food was presented very well. But the roasts were disappointing really. Lamb was super rare and under seasoned and the beef was ok but nothing special. Roasts are £22-26. I think at that price they need to be great. The gravy was super average and I'd suggest not home made tho I can't be certain. Either way it was lacking in depth. The veg was nice but the majority of the plate was cabbage and Yorkshire pudding, the least desirable imo. Stingy on the cauliflower cheese, which was nice! One plate had 3 potatoes the other 2...:/ lastly the sticky wicket is to be avoided. Not a nice beer at all.

We went to a comedy night at The George IV pub. I was told that the comedy shows are managed by a separate company but they have been collaborating with the pub for over 20 years. A few of us in the group apparently caused disturbance to some in the audience when whispering during the act. The acoustics of the room and natural voice tone of those involved contributed to the noise propelling. After being policed by staff and given warnings, we were eventually thrown out. This has never happened to us and we were shocked by the treatment considering we were out at the pub on a Saturday night. I later understood that the expectation is for the audience to be dead quiet just as in theatres and if this would have been set out unequivocally and to all and sundry there wouldn't have been any bad reviews now.

However, since the message of sealed lips came through in an unreasonable, patronising and disproportionate way, to our group the disturbance felt more subtle than what was said, i.e. a racist attack. It is a shame because the issue would not have escalated if management would have had the sensitivity and courtesy to address the issue in a way that didn't...

The pub was welcoming, busy and a great place for the four of us to meet for a meal. Our waiter "Billy" was friendly and knowledgeable and went out of his way to look after us. What was disappointing was the portion size for the meals, especially the two roast meals which were had. The chicken supreme was small, more like a budgie supreme. The various vegetables, although very tasty, were also in short supply. The cauliflower cheese was a laughable amount, genuinely no more than about 1 teaspoon of it. My wife's beef was fatty and also a very small portion. Perhaps Fullers think putting a massive yorkshire pudding on the plate compensates for the very poor portion sizes? For meals which cost over £23.00, these portions for a traditional Sunday roast was poor. We will NOT be recommending to anyone that they eat at Fuller's pubs. Also, like all pubs in London, the soft drink prices were extortionate. Drinks like Coke, lemonade etc off the “gun” are made with postmix syrup and are relatively cheap to serve, but at over £4 for a glass (not pint, it is clear that Fullers are making well over 200% profit on every one they serve. Such a shame as the...

I went to George IV in Chiswick for the first time as part of a Christmas dinner. We were made to pay upfront which included the service fee (the cheek). We arrived at the booking time of 6:30pm and we had still not been served our food by 8:30pm after 2 hours!

I had to leave so I went to the manager to get a refund. She told me that the food was late because they were 'busy'. I responded that if they were that busy, they should not have taken our booking. She insisted that she couldn't refund me from the till as the booking had been taken centrally and had me leave my name, number and email address. I never heard from them again.

I even emailed the contact us page from their website and all I have received is silence. This would be considered theft and I will get my refund. My colleagues who waited until the food arrive at 9pm said it was NOT worth the wait.

There are a hundred other restaurants and pubs in Chiswick, much better than this one and they won't keep you waiting for 2 hours. Better off...
