Recently, my companions and I visited The Terrace with high hopes of enjoying a pleasant dining experience in their outdoor seating area. However, our evening took an unfortunate turn when we were denied a table outside, despite the entire restaurant being empty. To add insult to injury, we witnessed the staff granting an outdoor table to a group of women without any apparent reason or consistency. Our experience at The Terrace left us feeling frustrated and disappointed, prompting me to share this unfavorable review.
Service and Discrimination:
The most glaring issue we encountered was the inconsistent and discriminatory treatment we received from the restaurant staff. Despite numerous empty tables available outside, we were denied the option of dining there simply because we chose not to order shisha. We were informed that only customers ordering shisha were allowed to sit outside, which seemed to be an arbitrary rule and not communicated anywhere beforehand. It was disheartening to see a clear lack of consideration for our preferences as paying customers.
Moreover, the sight of a group of women being immediately given a table outside without any indication of them ordering shisha revealed a troubling double standard. The blatant favoritism displayed by the staff left us feeling marginalized and disrespected. Inconsistencies in their policies and the selective enforcement of those policies only added to our frustration.
Lackluster Atmosphere and Ambiance:
Compelled to accept an indoor table, we were greeted with an atmosphere that was far from ideal. The interior of the restaurant was dimly lit, giving off a gloomy and uninspiring ambiance. The lack of natural light and the absence of any outside view greatly diminished our overall dining experience. We had hoped to enjoy a pleasant evening in the open air, taking in the sights and sounds of the surrounding area, but were instead confined to a lackluster interior.
Unimpressive Customer Service:
To exacerbate matters, the level of customer service we received throughout our time at The Terrace was far from satisfactory. The staff appeared disinterested, offering minimal attention and leaving us waiting for extended periods without any explanation or apology. Simple requests for menu recommendations or refills were met with indifference, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests.
Underwhelming Food Quality:
Regrettably, the disappointing experience extended to the food as well. Despite the enticing descriptions on the menu, the dishes we ordered failed to deliver in terms of taste and presentation. The flavors were lackluster, and the portions were underwhelming considering the prices charged. It was evident that the kitchen staff lacked the passion and attention to detail required to create memorable culinary experiences. This, coupled with the overall dissatisfaction caused by the lack of outdoor seating, made our dining experience an unremarkable one.
Conclusion:
Our visit to The Terrace left us deeply disappointed due to the inconsistent policies, discriminatory treatment, lackluster atmosphere, subpar customer service, and underwhelming food quality. The arbitrary rules regarding outdoor seating and the apparent favoritism displayed by the staff towards certain customers were particularly disheartening. It is our hope that the management of The Terrace takes our feedback seriously, reevaluates their policies, and strives to improve their overall service to ensure that no future patrons endure a similarly...

Read moreMiddle Eastern and Lebanese Cuisine - A Feast for the Senses
If you're looking for a taste of the Middle East, look no further than The Terrace Bakery. This delicious and aromatic food has been gaining popularity in recent years and for good reason. With its unique blend of spices, herbs, and fresh ingredients, Lebanese food is truly a feast for the senses.
I recently had the opportunity to dine at The Terrace Bakery restaurant, and I was blown away by the variety of dishes on offer. The menu was packed with traditional Lebanese favourites like hummus, falafel, and tabbouleh, as well as more exotic dishes like Manousheh, Kubideh, and Baba Ganoush.
I started my meal with a plate of hummus, which was creamy, smooth, and had a subtle tang from the lemon and garlic. The Cotlet was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and was served with a side of pickles and some chilli sauce for dipping. We also tried some Baba Ganoush, Lahmeh Bi Ajin Manousheh and Sujuk & Honey.
Next, we tried the Lemon and Saffron chicken, which was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The juicy chicken was cooked to perfection and the flavours were perfectly balanced. I was also impressed by the mixed grill, which also was cooked to perfection with the lamb and chicken tender and juicy.
For dessert, we tried the sweet Nutella Manousheh, which was a delight and it was a perfect end to my meal.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and variety of the food at The Terrace Bakery. The flavours were bold, the ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. If you're looking for a delicious and authentic taste of the Middle East, I highly recommend giving The Terrace Bakery a try.
