KFC — Restaurant in Madeley

Seriously under staffed. Queue was out the door and the drive through didn't move in the 20 minutes I spent in the queue. There was 1 new girl on the till who had no support and was understandably getting flustered, staff from the drive through window seemingly lost and confused, leaning up against the clunter, staff wiping tables and emptying bins when there's a queue going out the door with 1 person serving. After I placed my order, the girl advised the soft drinks machine pump was off for some reason and I was handed only half of my order. It's not the staff's fault entirely, most of this was down to poor management. I won't be going to this one again until I hear that customers are getting a better experience.

Edit 22/1/19 - Passed by and thought I'd try it again. Placed my order at the intercom on the drive thru, drove around to the payment window where I sat behind a complaining customer until their complaint was resolved. This took 20 minutes. The staff didn't have the sense to ask them to move to a parking space to talk about their issue so as to free up the drive thru. 5-6 cars were waiting behind me and couldn't go anywhere because the complaining customer in front was blocking the way. Despicable customer service. The place is run by inexperienced tweens and teens.

Bottom line - Just go somewhere...

This place needs a lot of improvement. There appears to be no leadership or good communication of any kind. The restaurant will be empty and it'll take them 30 minutes to complete 1 order. The workers seem to be working at a very slow pace with no motivation at all. Ive seen much faster service in other kfc locations. We ordered some food today and they had no chicken fillets ready (how can a food place be so unprepared?), they had no more lipton ice tea, they had no more coffee, we received corn that was 1 day past the best before/use by (it was watery and flavourless), and one of us received a gross and rubbery chicken fillet. The self serve kiosks never have receipt paper, the floor is always greasy and sometimes slippery, I wouldnt want to know what the toilet looks like. This place needs to be improved asap.

Staff need to work on their communication with customers and each other. I was ignored for 10mins before being served, the server took my click and collect number and walked off with no other communication. I was eventually told my click and collect order wasnt on the system when I could see it on the screen waiting to be packed. I then waited a further 15mins for my order which had been packed by one member of staff and mis-labled by another. I had to remind them I had ordered drinks and then to top it all off when I got home we realised our 'dipping' feast didnt have any dips! I understand that staff were busy but that's no excuse for poor service and communication. At least 2 uber eats/ just eat drivers left without their orders after complaining to staff they had been waiting 45 mins and being ignored by said staff.
