Fresh flavours, great service, and amazing charcoal grilled kebabs!

Dropped into Barok on Beech Road recently and was really impressed. The space is stylish but still relaxed—ideal for either a casual dinner or something a bit more special.

We started with the halloumi cheese, which was beautifully grilled: golden on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with just the right amount of salad. Simple, but spot on.

For mains, we had the charcoal-grilled chicken and lamb shish kebabs—both were full of flavour, tender, and had that perfect smoky edge from the grill. The portions were generous and came with rice, salad, and bread.

We also had a side of chips, and honestly, they were spot on—crispy, well-seasoned, and surprisingly good.

Service was friendly and attentive, and you can tell they care about both the food and the experience. Whether you’re a fan of Turkish cuisine or just in the mood for great grilled meat, Barok is a solid choice. Will definitely be coming...

I first time visit Restaurant on Beech Road and ordered the Sarma Beyti — and it was a standout dish. The presentation was beautiful: neatly wrapped slices of beyti topped with a rich tomato sauce, served over creamy yogurt. The balance between the smoky meat, tangy sauce, and cool yogurt worked perfectly together.

The portion size was generous, accompanied by golden, well-seasoned chips and a refreshing side salad with sesame seeds that added a nice crunch. Everything on the plate felt thoughtfully prepared. It was hearty yet not heavy, and each bite felt comforting.

Just discovered BAROK, and I’m so glad I did! It’s a cozy little takeaway spot with big heart and even bigger flavour. Every dish is full of that rich, home-style Turkish taste you only get when someone really knows their food.

I stopped by for a quick bite and ended up staying longer than planned thanks to the warm vibes and this gorgeous cocktail (📸 attached!). It was refreshing, beautifully presented, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while.
