Friday the 13th. It was a good opportunity to treat mum n dad, especially with Father's day looming, so I took it, with the 30% off mains voucher £128 ended up at £112, so what's that, 37 per person? I had three pints of cider and two desserts and we all had starters and deserts. I'm not fussy regarding food, so not a good judge, but I kind of wished we hadn't prebooked, cos the table we were allocated I initially didn't like. I can't help thinking if you don't book and the place is half empty then you can sit where you like, which would have been the better option. The waitress, in the photo, had nearly no talking capacity, she was ill. To me, she shouldn't have been working, it's ridiculous, not only is it irritating, but she would be better convalesing at home than struggling to get the words out here, in a barely audible, croaky voice. Fine if you work at a computer maybe, but surely not when dealing with the public. However, despite losing a star for that, the saving grace here is the food, not cheap, I didn't think, but mum n dad, dad in particular, raved about how good it was, tasty, quick service and served hot. Given that they've tried three or four other places around the Oak Tree Lane vicinity recently and rated this above all those, some of which they didn't like and wouldn't go back to, this, quite notebly, is a place to which they would happily return, so it must at least be worth four stars, perhaps.

Visited Foxglove many times, but it had been a while and this time we had a two year old in tow. The place was relatively quiet, which is always a bonus in our books as we prefer it that way and we managed to be situated at the far end in a booth which was nice. The menu had changed a bit, and I decided to opt for something I'd not had there before which was the Chilli Con Carne. My partner had the Pulled Pork Burger and my son had the Cheese and Tomato Tagliatelle from the kids menu. My dish was delicious and is something I would definitely order again. My partners burger was a bit greasy in the top where they had placed two onion rings and the bacon in the middle he said could have been a bit more well done as it was still relatively pink. However, other than that we both enjoyed our meals. We also ordered a side of Hallumi Fries and Cheesy Garlic Ciabatta. Staff were all welcoming and friendly, as usual - particularly the young lad behind the bar serving drinks. When my partner complained about his bacon, the server just responded with "Oh sorry, is that everything?" and then walked away which I didn't feel was sincere but alas, it was just bacon I suppose. Always lovely food and atmosphere though, and everything comes well presented.

I may get over excited about place's but I loved my meal here. I'm a non drinker and tried all the mocktails which were delicious, especially the Passion fruit Marti-no with a shot of elderflower fizz. The prices are around today's average slightly to the cheaper side but food, presentation and service doesn't reflect this. The food is yummy as are the drinks as I already highlighted. The atmosphere is really nice, not too loud but not dead quiet. It feels homely and friendly, currently displaying warm autumny vibes. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. The exterior decor is lovely as well, especially after dark. Overall it was a really great experience. Perfect to celebrate twenty years to the day that I met my wife ❤️🙏

Booked for a family of 4 meal at 8.00pm. When we got there the car park was totally full and cars were having to park on the road next to the pub. So we could tell it was extremely busy straight away. Inside, we was met by a clearly flustered and tired employee who explained that they were a chef down and had a 40th, 16th and 18th birthday all at the same time, all large parties as well as a already busier than usual night. This I did not mind, we actually felt sorry for the staff as they were all trying there best under difficult circumstances. The reason I won't be returning to this pub is the actual food, it was a 45 minute wait from when we ordered, which again, I wasn't too bothered about but my real gripe is the lack of value for money for the meals. The prices are extortionate to the portion size. We don't mind paying a fair price for a meal if we come away full, but every one of us was still hungry when we left. I paid £21.99 for a ribeye steak and the meal was tiny, the steak very fatty so half of it had to be left at the side of my plate. My wife's lasagne wouldn't have filled a child, my son in laws burger was tiny, and daughters sausage and mash was also very small. For 4 meals the bill came to £69, and all 4 of us had to go over the road to McDonald's as we were all still hungry and not one of us are particularly big eaters. I thought the price was honestly disgusting and felt robbed regarding the portion sizes. Like I say, I would have been very happy to pay that price if we didn't have to go to another food establishment afterwards! What was there, we enjoyed. Sadly we won't be going back. Not the staffs fault, they were lovely, and they all looked dead on their feet. There are plenty of other food establishments in the vicinity that are both cheaper and bigger portions that we would rather give our hard...

We booked on breakfast with Santa and my how great it was! We were greated by the manager who was at the hostess stand and she took us to our table, on there we had a little party bag for the children. It contained a pen, book, blow up Christmas balloon, and a stamp. We also had crayons and colouring sheets on the table too. She explained the menu to us and the tickets.

We ordered at the bar and was greated by a friendly festive bar staff member who took our drinks order while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. It was. Well organised as they had someone else making the hot drinks making the service quicker.

Once at the table the Elf came round and asked when we would like to see Santa, we said once everyone arrived and before breakfast so our tops were clean. Once everyone arrived we ordered our breakfasts and spoke to the elf walking around and asked if we could be on the list to see Santa. It was soon our turn and the boys were super excited she offered to take out photos so we could all be on it. The set up with Santa was great! We had had plenty of time with him and it wasn’t rushed the picture setting was great the backdrop was very festive and the boys loved the chocolate treat.

When we arrived back at the table our food came it looked yummy and was hot. They brought the kids breakfast out first which is handy so I could cut up my LOs food before mine arrived. The food was delicious! We had an excellent experience with breakfast with Santa and we can’t wait to come...
