I have found myself here twice this year when I've been busy and needed food on the go. When I first visited, I chose to use the drive thru and went to the order point furthest from the building as it was free and I expected this would work like every other drive thru I'd visited where you filter to the free lane. I sat there for 10 mins wondering what was happening and watching the other lane flow along nicely placing there orders. I got fed up, parked up and went inside instead. It was almost empty so could see that being busy was not the issue for slow service. I spoke to the server and ordered my food and questioned the issue. She advised the far away point was only manned when they were very busy and to use the one closest next time. I suggested that a closed sign outside whilst the lane was not in use would be much more sensible and she seemed surprised that people wouldn't just know not to use it at certain times. I queries the times it was in use and she could not tell me so how the public is meant to know is beyond me. Last week I found myself here again and almost drove past before deciding to give them another chance. I went for the drive thru again and did as instructed and used the one closest. After seeing the cars flowing through before me and having orders taken I was surprised to be sat there for almost 5 minutes as the far away order point served 4 cars (the one apparently only in use during busy times). Meanwhile I just sat there, finally a young man sounded terrified of talking through the speaker announced himself and took my order. There was again no apology given for the wait and service. I will say that the food was some of the best McDonald's I've ever had but I will not use this establishment ever again due to the service from the staff. I have no idea who is managing this particular franchise but the current set up is not working and needs...
Read moreIt's with genuine regret and disappointment that I pen down this review. My visit to McDonald's on Monday August 7, 2023 around 10:30 pm left a bitter taste, and it wasn't because of the food. My trust in this esteemed brand has been shaken by an experience that reeked of discriminatory behavior.
From the outset, the order-taking process felt skewed. After selecting the right lane on the driveway, we patiently waited our turn. But something seemed amiss. Despite our lane being clear, the employee on the till kept processing orders from the left lane, bypassing us completely. His explanation was that the till software was being updated.
Accepting this at face value, we patiently waited. However, as minutes ticked by and several cars from the other side were served, the situation became increasingly questionable. Feeling a bit sidelined, we decided to take a proactive approach by reversing into the left lane, hoping for better service. But alas, the same employee seemed intent on ignoring us, offering the excuse that now the left-side till software was updating.
The inconsistency in his statements and actions left us feeling unfairly treated. Whether it was a genuine system issue or a reflection of prejudiced behavior, the experience was undeniably unpleasant.
For a brand that stands tall on the global stage, priding itself on customer service and inclusivity, this particular outlet left us disillusioned. I hope that this incident is an isolated one, and that McDonald's addresses such issues promptly to ensure that all customers, regardless of background or appearance, are treated with the respect and efficiency...
Read moreI'm 40 years old and I was divorced like a child by two grown-up guys: MET PARKING SERVICES and McDonald's. One rented land near McDonald's and set a 90-minute parking limit but forgot to clearly indicate it in big letters. Instead, the restriction was only shown on small signs placed at bird height and written in small font.
The other managed to put a playground on their premises, along with an interactive table attachment, to keep children lingering as long as possible until their car clocks the 90 minutes and then sends you a £100 bill by post.
By the way, I paid £60 for fuel to travel from Plymouth to Newcastle, trying to catch a tailwind to save a few pounds. Having lived in this country for two years, I was sure that everything here was done for the people. And I was wrong. In two years, I didn't receive a single fine. I thought such businessmen existed only in my country, who know how to make money by such mean ways.
Now I suggest playing this game without me, without my children, without my relatives and acquaintances. Now, McDonald's is taboo for us. I'm sure we'll be healthier now. My travels will now be planned to...
