I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Railway Inn, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect, elegant yet comfortable, with just the right amount of lighting to create a cozy and intimate setting. The attention to detail in the decor made the space feel both modern and welcoming. The food was simply outstanding! Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The menu offers a wide variety of options, catering to all tastes, and everything we tried exceeded our expectations. We went last Sunday it was great from start to finish. They had disabled parking, which was right outside. They were prompt in seating us and taking our order. The drinks came and soon after the food. One of our party had beef and The other person had pork. The food was amazing the Yorkshires are huge! The portions are generous and therefore filling. The area we sat in which was opposite the bar was not huge, but it did not feel cramped. It has recently been renovated to a high standard and this was noted by us. We were able to take Home a doggy bag for our pooch, which was great and thoroughly enjoyed by Luca! Perhaps the only improvement we would like to suggest is more vegetables on the plates and less carbs! Right so went to there this afternoon. Arrived approximately 12:40 ish. Place looked nice. Really good out the back. Ordered about 12:50ish. We were the first ones through the door. A starter of prawns and a pork roll. All to come at the same time. 25 mins after ordering I checked with the waitress to see when we could expect our food. She said she'd check. Never came back. 2nd time After 30 mins I checked again. Then a 3rd time after about 40 mins. We were told 4 mins. Then the first waitress came back and told us no one had put the order through. Now mistakes can happen but after asking on 3 separate I would have thought somebody might have checked. Obviously no one did. I'd suggest re training for the waitresses and get a system in place so this cluster xxxx doesn't happen again!!! Won't be going...
