5 out of 5. One of the most impressive Inns I have ever stayed at. It's a very vintage Inn set in a quaint village of Bampton.

We booked a room for 4 people, expecting one room. However we were pleasantly surprised that ended up getting a suite with two rooms and a bathroom. The beds were really comfortable. The rooms are very affordable. The price was 5 pound more expensive than Travelodge hit we never would have got so much value for our money.

Customer service was very impressive. We ordered a takeaway and the owner kindly decided to inform us when the takeaway arrived. He also went out of his way to kindly provide us with plates to make it easier for us.

Breakfast was provided with rooms and everything was well cooked. Despite us coming 15 minutes, the owners still.decided to cook us breakfast....

After walking in to find that we were the only table booked for the night we thought we would get very good service. We waited patientally for our order to be taken and then waited for the food to be brought out. The cutlery was brought to us and chucked in out table with no presentation. The cutlery was also dirty. The food was then brought to our table. We had ordered two medium rare steaks and one medium steak. What we received was two well done steaks and one rare steak. We had also order a side of garlic bread which came out burnt. We considered complaining but when we saw the chef sat at the bar smoking a cigarette we decided it was probably safer to just eat the meal and leave. It would not advise anyone visiting this establishment other than health and safety to...

Lovely warm welcome in this quaint country pub. Extremely spacious suite of rooms for our family of 2 adults and 3 older children. Very clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Kettle to make hot drinks, plenty of teas, coffees, milk sugar and hot chocolates all laid out perfectly. Tv and good selection of dvds in children’s room, bedside shelves and lamps for them too. Beautiful large bathroom with separate shower and huge deep bath. All spotlessly clean and plenty of towels. Really quiet and peaceful. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast with a good selection of drinks. A great little place to stay and so nice to be able to have all 5 of us together as most places only cater for a...

Stayed here for the weekend. Owners were friendly and welcoming, showed to our rooms which are dated but liveable for the most part. Breakfast wasn't the best, bit too greasy for my liking. Noticed this plug socket behind my bed as I left and didn't see the owner on my way out to make them aware of the situation and hope they see this to correct it before anything happens. Would say this is more of a £40-£50 stay per room for what you get, however owners were really relaxed about us paying when was convenient for us and leaving later than the preferred time of 10:30

Any pub that sells pickled eggs is worthy of five starts. Great boozer as well
