Sang Thai — Restaurant in Mole Valley

Now, I'm not really one to write reviews but having a bad experience at a restaurant makes me quite frustrated, which I feel is something I should share and hopefully the proprietors will read, take as positive criticism and do something to rectify the situation. I ordered a takeaway for three people on Friday 8/3/19 in the restaurant, which took an age to arrive from the kitchen. When it did, it sat on the front desk for about ten minutes before the man realized it was mine as he was very busy farming out other takeaways and settling bills of customers in restaurants. I understand they are busy, but when I got home the food was not only barely warm but extremely poor quality. This must be the only Thai restaurant in the land that does not know what a Pad Thai is or how to cook one. This was meant to be a vegetarian version. It was a greasy orange noodle dish with no egg, no peanuts and no spring onions. The tofu was greasy and there was one big bit of broccoli and one big bit of cauliflower with a wedge of lemon stuffed down the side of the box. Not lime, but a lemon. The Sang Thai platter was just deep fried and extremely oily pre bought dim sum and average at best. This was a meal for three people which I had the pleasure of paying nearly £40 for. This is why I get so frustrated, I work hard to earn money and when I spend it I want good quality. Do the owners know that this rubbish leaves their kitchen and do they think it's acceptable? I will never go to this restaurant again but hopefully, they will read this and sort out their problems in...

I don’t normally do Reviews but I feel like I need to this time. We have just moved to the area and this restaurant was recommended to us. We had a takeaway and the order was wrong so they changed it without a problem, I asked for them to change all of the dishes as they would be cold as we had to wait for the replacement dishes, they told me yes they will change them. When they brought the food out, I asked if they changed the other dishes and he said yes! I asked him again and he said yes…….however the dishes were not changed and it was very poor, the pad Thai was bland and orange? I have seen lots a good reviews so I’m surprised everything was so bad. I will not be trying this restaurant again only because the waiter lied to me about the food...

Average. If you like Thai food, and you actually know what good Thai food is, then you would not give this place 5 stars. Its OK, its certainly better than the one on the end of Reigate high street, but doesn't really compare to The Thai Cottage in Tadworth which is by far the best in the area. We didn't eat in the restaurant, so this review is for take away only. The price was reasonable, no complaints there.
