Went with the brownies and they loved it! It was quite a short talk, and the lady who ran ours was great at engaging them! The history and set up was awesome, having lots of candles really adds to the environment. Great learning about a bit of Dorking's backstory. Still amazed that the caves exist, it's not the most well known attraction really. I do recommend this tour to anyone, as it's just a unique experience to walk through hand built caves and look at all the name inscriptions! There are some steep stairs with a handrail to help so just bear that in mind when you visit :) Thank you for a smashing evening activity!

Wonderful excursion under the streets of Dorking. Our guide David, was really informative and gave great detail on the mysterys and tales of the tunnel system through points in history of the town. We had such a great time and found it really fascinating and intriged by what had happened in this historical part of Surrey. Highly recommended visit. Thank you guys 👍

Fascinating cave tour deep under the streets of Dorking. Very friendly, knowledgable and welcoming tour guilds explaining the centuries of history dating back as far as 1666. Definitely worth a visit

As long as you set your expectations accordingly these caves are very interesting. They are 100% man-made so don't expect vast open spaces with stalactites and stalagmites, instead prepare for tight tunnels, a bit claustrophobic if you're prone to that. The caves are a constant 14 degrees year round so prepare for that depending on what you're wearing for the weather outside.

The way it has been carved out you will end up retracing your steps, so beware that it doesn't seem that far on the way down but climbing the stairs all the way back up in one go might take you by surprise.

I attended the Halloween special tour which had the real information interspersed with some "spooky" stories told that had been made up just for that night, always told with a nod and a wink so you knew what was real and what wasn't. From start to finish the tour took roughly 45 minutes and...

Very disappointing, only gave a star so I could review. We booked, paid and received confirmation of the tour. We waited and waited outside and nobody turned up, were not the only ones as there was another family also waiting having done the same thing. The contact phone number attached to the page is for the heritage centre and not dedicated to The Dorking street caves. Luckily for us, one of the researchers at the heritage centre had to come and met us to apologise on their behalf despite not having anything to do with the cave tours. As it was half term and we were on holiday from the West Midlands we didn't think it would be usual for a midweek tour. Very unlikely that we will get a second chance. Would like to say a really big thank you to the Heritage centre staff for...
