Arrosto — Restaurant in New Forest

I’ve been going here for a while and I’m always super nice and always leave a good tip. Today, I think I finally decided not to go back. First of all there was the stand offish lady with a foreign accent. But then, I ordered a crepe for my friend. It says on the menu that all crepe’s come with a scoop of vanilla gelato and whipped cream. The crepe came out with no scoop of ice cream so my friend mentioned it to one of the staff who was very sweet and said he would fix it. Next, the manager comes stomping over being super spicy about it and insisting it does not come with a scoop of ice cream! Her attitude was super unnecessary. Honestly, if that was my business, I’d have said sorry for the misunderstanding and just given the scoop of ice cream. But no, she made us pay for an extra scoop. Arostos has been around for many years now yet it gets no business, the food is ok so whats the problem? THE MANAGER! Everyone i know says “i like arostos but the old lady so horrible!” Its so true! She is always rude, some people say she is homophobic, when i went she forced me add toppings without telling me that it cost extra! Even though its already extremely overpriced! The teenage staff there are lovely, always great service from them, its just ruined by the manager, she always just sits there on a random table with her coke judging everyone, really ruins...

Quick service, clean, comfortable seating, easy close parking, great coffee, delicious French hot chocolate, white hot chocolate and chai. Many things to choose from biscuits, nougat, biscotti, brownies, traybakes. I felt let down by the rum and raisin ice cream it had no raisins and it was sweet with little taste of rum and a sweet caramel like sauce.
