The best thing i can say about this McDonalds is its stopped me using McDonalds and saved me a fortune each year.
Only would get me back for a big tasty if i was eating inside (only)
Take out is usually wrong,Not sure i have been in the last 10-12 times and had a order correct or something missing, save your time on a Grill as these will be wrong...(mostly)
Service is usually poor too at drive through, this would be the first thing i worked on as i do believe staff who take pride will take pride in the service and preparation. Fries are always smaller portion i think they have a take out and a eat in size.
i have a iron stomach as i travel for a living but last time i went they gave me 6 nuggets instead of 5 strips when i got pay window, this was changed upon request, but she wiped my full order, got a extra Coke as it was easier (was hard work) to take it to the next window (i did get a refund) BUT... Coke was warm, flat, and no ice (asked for ice) clearly been stood a while or gas needed changing. Fries were borderline soggy, and the strips were rubber in middle, and my double cheese burger was lathered in Sauce so i could not taste the patty.
i had to throw in the bin, 4 and half strips and 90% of the fries and i ate the burger cos i was starving.... But as i said i cannot stomach the thought of ever eating one again yet.
I be amazed if they ever get rid of the cooked food on time or the pre prepped food (if do this which is a guess as not alway warm) When eating in food and portions and orders usually much better.
VERY slow service on the drive through.. cannot remember if its the same inside but i kinda remember it to be, it seems Just eat/Uber eats is their cash cow now so regular customers are neglected. (Same with most McDonalds now not just Newark.
Anyway sorry for a negative post but its the truth as i...
Read moreThe self order screen allowed us to order milkshakes, a staff member came over later to our table to tell us that shakes were not available at that time of day, so why were they orderable? He asks what drinks we'd like as alternative. My husband tells him but asks what will happen about price difference as we'd paid more to upgrade meals drinks to milkshakes, he says he'll have to ask manager. Replacement drinks come, the coke tastes of nothing, just fizzy water. Husband goes to the counter where he waits a while, numerous staff members look over but don't come ask him what he wants. Eventually somebody tells them to go see what the gentleman wants. He tells them about the disgusting drink and they replace it, he asks again about the refund on the drinks as nobody has come over yet despite the guy saying he'd get manager. Get a refund but only on 2 out of the 3 drinks. No apology given just money handed over. The replacement drink for the disgusting one is exactly the same, which it would be, he told them there was a problem and they replaced it from same machine without even testing it. A very nice lady came over and asked if meal was OK, and my husband said about how disgusting his drink was and she replaced it with something different and explained there had been a problem with machine and engineer had been out the day before. So why when we complained wasn't it taken seriously and they Continued to serve the drink? Food was also forgotten from our order and we had to go up and ask...
Read moreI feel I need to share with you the awful experience that I have received yesterday (30.12.2022) at my local McDonald's in Newark Nottinghamshire. I've proceded through the the drive through and ordered 2 large 1/4 pounder with cheese meals and 9 x nuggets with bbq sauce, I paid at the next window as per normal and asked for 1 curry sauce and sweet and sour sauce, only to be told that you are now charging for sauces, I explained that I had no cash and that I didn't want the meal without the sauce, I asked for the manager so I could explain the situation, the young lady told me the same thing, I asked to return my food to which she abliged but gave me cash instead of refunding my card. I then proceed to cross over the road and spend my money with KFC who was more than accommodating. I use the McDonald's restaurant several times a week and feel that you charging for condiments is a backwards step, I will never grace McDonald's with my presence again while they are charging for condiments that should be part of the meal, you go to any other restaurant and condiments are supplied. I know I'm only a small customer and my complaint will not be taken seriously but I still feel I need to share this experience. I would assume that the order that was taken back would of been disposed of which in my opinion is a bad business decision, £17.00 worth of food was taken back, destroyed for the sake of 20p worth of sauce. Poor...
