We came across this place by accident, following a walk as it was the last pub before returning to our car.
Having had our walk diverted and ending up being out a good hour than we intended we were thirsty and starving when we hit the pub.
It was later on a Sunday afternoon but we were offered a choice of a bar meal, or the restaurant menu, and advised we could eat in the pub or in any of the outdoor areas.
We ordered a couple of pints, the cajun chicken wrap, and cheesey chips. The gentleman serving us did warn us that the cajun wrap was served with chips, but we went ahead and had the cheesy chips as well.
We went out and sat in the beer garden, which had a lovely grassy lawn and plenty of benches spread around. The food arrived and was really tasty. The cajun chicken was just spicy enough and the cheesey chips were proper hand cut chips with a huge portion of cheese.
We saw a couple of Sunday lunches going out and these looked good too.

Read moreWe were all quite excited about going to "mussels night" on Thursday. When we got there we were given a table but from my understanding mussels do not take long to prepare. We waited a good half an hour before we got our mussels. There was myself and two of my daughter's on one table and we saw two gentleman together at another table and that's all there was in the pub restaurant and therefore couldn't understand why the service was incredibly slow. However, the mussels were very nice. But sadly we decided to go around the corner and had some other food from another pub restaurant as we were all still incredibly hungry. The service at this other pub was second to none. As soon as we we sat at the table we were immediately waited upon. We will not be going back to...

I was very much looking forward to the pizza burger which turned out to be a dry cheeseburger which some pepperoni on it, disappointing! The food took over 45 minutes to arrive after ordering which was crazy as when we ordered there was only us and 1 other table. The fries and burger bun looked like ones you get from your local supermarket, which was attempted to hide by putting them in those little basket things you get. The brownie dessert was nice though however, but again dont think there is much to a brownie.
Good things about here, the staff for very polite cant fault them one bit, the girl behind the bar was very helpful and offered to bring the drinks to the table. They have a good selection of drinks for a little village pub and the place was very nice and cosy inside...however the toilets could probably do with a makeover as they...
