Read moreStopped here for a quick bite to eat, a drink and the bathroom. Asked about a toilet and told by the (male) Greggs Supervisor that there were no toilets. I said I thought that was odd as it’s a small service station but he said it was not a service station even though it’s owned by EG Group who operate service stations. Ordered but got the wrong drink but took it anyway.
As it was pouring with rain, thought we would just stand inside to eat sandwich but then the male supervisor came over to say that we could not eat inside as he had not charged us for that. I asked how he could charge us for sitting in when there was nowhere to sit? He said something about their Manager advising if less than 10 people in then don’t put chairs out??? 🤨 and I should make a complaint.

Also there were toilets behind the two tables and chairs stacked up by the side, so he also lied to a customer.
I would not bother stopping here. Find another Greggs as there are many on most routes..
Seriously...

While some of the female staff engage in conversation and occasionally smile, the male employees often convey a "order your food and leave" attitude. This morning, I walked in with a wide smile, greeted with a cheerful "good morning," eagerly awaiting his response. However, he simply stared blankly at me and asked, "What do you want?"
I know it's your job to serve food, but it's also important to have basic manners. It is part of your job. Hoping for...
