I go most saturdays from Cramlington to buy the stotties, worth every penny & to be honest should cost more. I always get there for 9.00 what was opening time and get them fresh from the oven. For whatever reason sat gone when I arrived (9.15) I was told they aren't ready till 10.00, I explained ive always been here at 9.00 and not had any problems to which I was told I couldn't have done as its always 10.00 I am over 60 but I am not as backward as I clearly look. To make matters worse I was given my reprimand in front of customers eating inside and as I left stottieless she continued my put me down with the customers as I left. The same woman has served me on numerous occasions around 9.00 so I do question who is actually the barmiest. Amazing bakery! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The Baker even came to speak to me about one of the recipes I was enquiring about, amazing service! The stotties were fantastic, the texture was perfect and the flavour was great. The cheese scone was absolutely delicious, the texture was perfect and I really enjoyed the amount of black pepper used. The chicken balti was delicious, it contained a range of fresh vegetables and larg , pieces of chicken. The spices used in the chicken balti worked perfectly together. As seen on the Hairy Bikers! Can sit in - but only a small amount o space - but seldom in use. Prices vary but competitive with Gregg's. Stotties are my favorites, might have to wait for a batch of fresh ones as they shift fast! Sarnies here are good (sampled Ham and peas pudding! wowsa) hey do a bit of charity work as well - so get there to help them pay for this (I think its to do with a certain day food prices bottom out at less than costs - just what can be afforded - to help those with money issus).
