So I decided to arrange a karaoke night with a few friends and found that Moji offered Karaoke hire at a reasonable price as seen on their website. Seeing that it's the Christmas period I thought it might be best to book in advance, so I called them and all the woman could really say was "Takeaway or sit in" and couldn't quite understand what I was saying, they then referred me to a gentleman who could speak a fair bit of English, asked for a quote and wanted to confirm it before 10:30pm that night. Called again and still the woman didn't understand, I decided then to message them on Facebook to confirm.
When I arrived with a few of my friends, I told them I booked a karaoke booth. They brought us up stairs set up the TV in the rundown booth and kind of left us, so when we wanted to order drinks we had to go downstairs to get someone to serve us. So upon ordering drinks she didn't even understand any of it so we had to point at the menu, what really did it for us was that it took her 15 minutes to type it into the till.
So unfortunately we had to leave as it was a waste of time and went to Cosy Joes instead.
I really hate to leave bad reviews but this was just embarrassing to arrange and bring my friends to, I think the staff need to either break the language barrier or just advertise it for people who can speak Mandarin because even me attempting to speak to them in Cantonese...

Just a stones throw away from Northumbria University is this Chinese Restaurant. Serving regular patrons authentic Chinese food for more than a decade, a friend of mine from Singapore recommended me this place. Don’t let the rustic looking exterior or the dimly lit stairs fool you; it speaks volumes of how long this restaurant has been running, and along with it, it’s consistency and experience in preparing their cuisine.
While most people order take-aways, I’d recommend dining in; food is prepared as it’s freshest and you get the full experience. *I notice the bad reviews for this restaurant happen to be from takeaways. That’s why, I personally would recommend dining in.
🍳 Fu Yong Dan (Chinese Style Omelette) Deliciously prepared, this was quite a large helping, in which my wife really enjoyed. It’s one of her favourite dishes.
🫑 Chilli & Pepper Tofu I love how they use Chilli Pepper Corns in this dish. It was sizeable in proportion, and truly a delicious dish.
🍚 Vegetable Fried Rice Hot from the wok, a lovely dish accompanying the condiments.
With the price being at an affordable range, this was really worth experiencing. I’ll come again to try...
Read moreI've ordered from here a few times on Uber Eats, I usually get the Special Chow mein, prawn crackers, the salt pepper chilli chicken and it's been very nice everytime except for the last time I ordered the Chicken and Sweetcorn soup because it was tasteless and watery but I got a refund from Uber Eats for that because it was the worst soup I've ever had and I wouldn't have paid a penny for it.
Today I ordered the Salt and pepper ribs which were nice but it cost me £7.50 and this is all I got!! I think for paying nearly £8 you would expect a little more than 1 full rib on the bone and a couple of little fatty ones. I'm not impressed and I don't think I will be ordering this again. I'm very disappointed and I'm not happy with Uber Eats customer service,...
