Blossom's Cafe — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

Love this place. I eat here almost on a daily basis & the food draws people from all over the city. I have talked to people in there that have travelled from Gateshead,Newburn & one couple even come from Blyth & do so reguregularly, I have seen them in there many a time so I have no reason to disbelieve it. The food is all Home Cooked meals the good old British Food your Mam used to make,Full English Breakfast of three different sizes Large, Medium & Small, Home made Pies, Roast Dinners & if you choose you can even have Curry's that are set out in the proper bowls & dishes & other Foreign foods aswel. Loads of Deserts Cakes, Ice-cream, Crumbles with Custard, etc. i could go on for days. Loads of different drinks & they also have an Alchohol license if that's your thing. The place could do with a decoration change as it's a bit dull & dated but I don't eat the furniture & paint so I don't care that much. Nice music played. It's just a bit dark in the back sometimes & it just needs Brightened up a bit, that's all. Anyway I seriously & highly recommend you come try it for yourselves, the staff are all great in my experience even with the odd difficult customer which there are very few of. Prices are great, you will not be disappointed. I guarantee it. Come give it a go, sit inside or outside, in the back of the cafe or in the larger front area, most days it is very busy so that in itself tells you how good it is... if you disagree after you have been then there are plenty other cafes & other eating places around, but I know you will come back for more as the prices can't be beaten anywhere & cheap don't mean lack of food quality, it is unbeatable. They also do a takeaway option meals to pick up if you fancy...

Update, Nov 2021. Been several times and previously scored it a 4. Well, after today, 1. Called up at 1:30pm to put a takeaway order in, agreed to come in 20 mins. Actually turned up 25 mins later, yet order hadn’t even been started. Eventually received it 2:15pm, 25 mins late. What’s the problem?

Well, a) the constant sit down it shouldn’t be long, b) no apology at all, c) the incredible sarcasm at the end when I went to leave with my order as if I should have been happy. Terrible customer service. Lady even said if I don’t like the service, go elsewhere. No need to say that, I had already decided that by the end. I had left my son in the car, telling him I woudn’t be long. Lady in the shop even said I should have brought him in. Well why would I if she kept stringing me along saying it was coming. All she had to was apologise if not give a discount, but she did nothing but argue the toss. Then to top it off, got home and they messed up the order. No piint calling to complain as they’ll just say go...

Blossoms restaurant is located on the Shields Road in Baker. You can eat in or out depending upon the weather. The restaurant provides a menu. The food varies from hot and cold sandwiches to hot meals. Meals can vary from local to Asian dishes all meals are served either hot or cold. The prices vary, depending on the dishes. For those who smoke, out side is available yet there is only two tables each with three chairs. The staff are young and very polite. Shields Road is good for bargains the numerous retail outlets. There is a large Supermarket nearby and quite a number bars in the vicinity including a Witherspoon. There are numerous Buses heading eastwards towards Wallsend and the coastal town of Whitney Bay.
