Ordered their January box £18.98 plus postage Excited to receive it but all were vacuum packed in plastic ,not wrapped like they show in their social media posts Looked like mass factory produced products Didn’t like the flapjack it was dry and crumbly ,Milky Way or brownie (both didn’t taste of anything just really sweet) Jammy dodger and rocky road slice wasn’t nice either ,no taste ,they all went in the bin I’m afraid

My daughter and I really enjoyed our time at Claud's. On first appearance, it looked a little sterile with its bright overhead lights and very white walls, but the chairs were comfy and the staff were welcoming. They did a lovely job on the presentation of my daughter's waffle. She couldn't finish it, but I didn't mind helping! It was warm after being freshly made and treated great. The "brioche bomb" that I had was less exciting and could have maybe had a bit more sauce inside, but it was a pleasant, less filling option, and a really interesting idea.

Update: After bringing the family here for brunch (4 light breakfasts and 4 waffles / crêpes + drinks), it also seems necessary to warn people that Claud's is on the expensive side and a round of 4 waffles will set you back by about £30 which feels like it's edging towards overpriced. We really enjoyed our meals, but it'll need to be a special occasion for the next family...

Clauds never fails to impress. Today my friend and I tried the Afternoon Tea undoubtedly turned out to be the best one we have ever had. The scones were beautiful (I'm a snob when it comes to cheese scones) and was impressed with the taste and texture. Fruit scones with clotted cream and jam were divine and they certainly don't skimp on portions! There was a choice of cheesecake and traybake/cupcake as well, the blueberry cheesecake was delicious. I've taken home my rocky road and one of the scones as we were so stuffed after this feast. Also comes with unlimited tea supplied by very hospitable staff who nothing was a bother for.
