Looks are ultimately deceiving! Beautiful building, lovely outdoor play area. Quickly seated upon arrival, even though we hadn't booked. Easy service, scan QR Code and order via the app - super easy and convenient when you have a toddler.

Highchairs were disgusting and needed to be thoroughly wiped down before use! Floor was dirty and clearly hadn't been hoovered the night before or even in the morning - rice and bits of plastic everywhere - really great when you bring a toddler out for lunch.

Indoor play area is a great idea, but again, disgusting and dirty. Had to wipe everything down. Crusty food residue, probably ice cream, down one of the interactive screens, very unpleasant. Food all over the floor and mucky finger stains everywhere - we arrived 10mins after opening! Essentially it looks like the place hasn't been cleaned properly since it opened.

Food was a let down too. 2 main meals and an under 5s took 40mins, which is totally acceptable - we ordered quickly as we heard there was a party of 22 celebrating an 18th birthday. Unfortunately the side order of onion rings were stone cold, so needed to be replaced - which credit to Jamie (bar tender called for his help as we left, or we wouldn't have known his name) he replaced immediately and with no fuss. I order hunters chicken, which was drier than the Sahara Desert and had what tasted and looked like no BBQ sauce at all and the onion rings I mentioned, just tasted like 3 day old grease.

I have worked in hospitality for the best part of 15years and this beautiful looking pub, is a huge disappointment once you walk through the front doors.We stayed 20mins after finishing our food, and our table still wasn't cleared before we packed up and left.

From beginning to end the whole thing was an awful experience. We weren’t greeted or shown to our reserved table, we were just told table 6 so we had to walk around the whole restaurant to find our table and which was placed by the entry way for the park. I totally respect people want to go in and out with their kids for the park but it was absolutely freezing and had to keep our coats on. The table next to us left so we went to the bar and asked if we could switch table and they said yes. No one came and sorted the table for us so we had to clean the table ourselves by removing glasses and bottles and then having to wipe the table down because there food all over it. After waiting an hour and half for food we asked the server how much longer our food would be, she assured us that our food would be out after the table before us. she couldn’t be more apologetic and gave us free drinks which was a small solution to a massive problem.

Our food finally came after the 2 hours of waiting. You’d think after waiting 2 hours for food to come it would be hot?? Nope, the food was barely luke warm. My husband order the extra large dinner which was supposed to be beef and turkey but was only given beef. At this point we are feeling deflated, hungry and tired of making complaints. We just left and here I am making this review.

I don’t know whether it’s lack of management or inexperienced staff but we won’t be returning anytime soon. I came here for my birthday meal because when I’ve been here in the past it’s been amazing. I don’t know what’s gone wrong down the line but they need to sort this out soon or risk losing a lot...

We booked our table online which was easy to do with an emailed confirmation.

On arrival there was no meet and greet to show us to our table, we weren't sure what to do as no signs so joined the queue at the bar.

The young lady behind the bar asked if we had booked, which we confirmed and was I formed she would check once the laptop had booted up !! Once she had the information, she confirmed our booking and pointed across the room to where our table was.

When we sat down the table still had bits of food on it from the previous occupants and the table and menus were sticky to the touch. We, like others in the room used a cloth and a spray bottle of fabulosa to wipe our table down.

Ordering of food was easy enough and our order taken though I did find it unusual that it wasn't confirmed back to me.

I ordered mixed grill with a medium cooked steak but was disappointed to see that the meats on the plate were all slightly burnt on the outside. My gf's hunters chicken was cooked to her liking.

After we finished our meal I ordered another round of drinks at the bar. I know we all have bad days and wish we weren't in work etc but on both occasions I visited the bar and was served by the same young man he never spoke to me ref my order, or even confirmed what I owe him, I had to use the screen on the till for that.

Surely if you choose hospitality as a career move then please be hospitable

We didn't try the bathroom as we felt the tables and menu condition were enough of an example of what we may expect.
