SEVERAL WEEKS AGO PART 1 Only dropped by for a coffee and a tea and the bill was just £3 odd, if you like your coffee you'll love it here. I had a big tea pot and had 3 cuppas from it. Very clean and well presented surroundings. The food menu looked scrummy so we're going back there next week for lunch. Lots of regulars as they were talking to each other which is always a good sign, one chap we were talking to said the food here is excellent. We went there about 10.15am and it was already a third full. Hope this helps, Quentin. Oh, no dogs except guide dogs..
UPDATE 5/9/2018 We went back for lunch last week, the wait is about 10 mins for 3 peoples mains, so great start. The portions are large our 11 yr old had carbonara and she couldn't finish it all, so I helped out. It was scrummy laced with a bit of black pepper which made it so lovely to eat. My wife had Lasagne, it was 4 layers, oven baked and would have fed the both of us, I had a taste and that's my choice for next visit. They serve wines and beers to accompany your meal. Again, we saw people chatting to each other so they clearly have regulars. I made a Facebook friend with someone I found out I worked with years ago! The bill was excellent value, we can afford to eat there on a more regular basis. Love it here. Hope this helps you decide, oh they close at 5pm. Kind...
Read moreThis restaurant is truly a delight! The most authentic Italian restaurant outside of Italy!!! We visited in January for a family birthday. It has been recommended to us and as it is very close to the family home we decided to give it a go. We were a party of 10 and despite some initial reservations as we had to pre-order and were told to bring cash only, we needn’t have worried we had a really lovely evening and cannot recommend the atmosphere & food enough! Chris and Mario are so accommodating and despite being busy took the time to greet us as if we were old friends. The other diners were almost all regulars, which speaks for itself! The food is EXCELLENT. We each had 3 courses and also ordered a selection of wine, beer, soft drinks spirits and coffee and the bill was under £30 a head and worth every penny! We even had a complimentary Limoncello(how very Italian) Chris made the process of pre-ordering very easy and even accommodated a drop out of our 11th member at the last minute at no charge. The atmosphere is homely and there are fresh and store cupboard products to purchase lined up nearly all over the restaurant. I am sure almost all diners must make a purchase or 2 before they leave! I will be taking a shopping bag next time! The ambience is truly continental. Thank you Chris and Mario, you have an...
