Stayed here after visiting a nearby restaurant and it was brilliant. Lovely welcome from Trish and throughout our stay by Tom who was a fountain of local knowledge, and gave us a run down of the history of the inn . A lovely guy and a credit to the business. ( Not forgetting Michelle who was on bar duties also and like Trish warmly welcomed us).

Rooms are all individually decorated and in keeping with the age of the building. All amenities great and a super comfy bed also. Entertainment on when we stayed which was great craic and tempered so as not to disturb guests . As I said we visited a local restaurant but the breakfast we had here and the look of the food coming out was superb. We will definitely return and try the food here also. All in all a little gem of a place with beautiful scenery and places to visit on the doorstep.

Again, thank you and a big shout out to Tom and the gang for such a...

My parents and I stayed here over the weekend, as we were visiting for a family christening. The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful, quiet and serene. The room was amazing, the staff had already pulled out and made up the sofa bed, which was surprisingly comfortable for a sofa bed. The bathroom was exquisite, with gorgeous tiles in the large shower cubicle and a proper old school pull down flush toilet. The whole room had a modernised vintage feel to it. The staff were absolutely lovely, super friendly, happy to answer any and all questions and provided a great service while we were there. I had booked us breakfast for each morning, and the food was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, local produce. I don't think I could have picked a better place for us to stay, I definitely want to visit again sometime -...

Went for an evening meal with family on a Sunday evening. Meal requests included a number of starters and starters as main courses. Service was slow and when the meal was served ALL the starters came at the beginning of the meal. Those that were for main courses were returned to the kitchen as they should have been served up as a main course. My own meal of fish and chips was quite full of cooking oil / fat, like it hadn't been allowed to rest and drain the oil. I think the food was generally OK. It's more of a staff organisational thing. That said, it is a small bar which would be better suited to couples or four people at most. I don't think it is suited to...

Fantastic place. Booked on Booking.com very well priced for the time of year. Staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The Pub is very friendly and has a huge beer garden out the back The food was outstanding and well priced with a very well balanced menu. The room was so cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was provided in your room as tea, coffee and cereal and I'm sure as time goes this will change to a proper sit down meal in the Pub. I really hope they do as the food is just so well made and presented. I can honestly say I will definitely be back.

I recently visited Dundrum Inn at 143 Main Street, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly staff, made for a truly enjoyable experience. The food was simply outstanding - fresh ingredients, generous portions, and flavors that danced on my palate. The bar offered an excellent selection of drinks, including some fantastic local options. I highly recommend Dundrum Inn to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience in Newcastle. Cheers!
