The worst cafe experience in Newcastle! Wrong orders, cold food, incompetent staff and not even any cutlery to eat with.
Firstly our order was incorrect, so had to be sent back. We also asked for some knifes as there were none at the self service. When our food arrived back for the second time we still weren’t given any knifes. We attempted to get started on our food with just our forks, although it’s pretty difficult to eat a fry this way….. The beans were bloody freezing!
After another 5 or so minutes I went up to ask for a manager to see if anyone in the place could get us some knives to eat with. Still no success. Apparently there wasn’t a manager working and they were too understaffed to wash 2 knives for us. We ended up asking for a refund and leaving, after much of a faff at the register to refund me.

Read moreA good coffee shop in Newcastle County Down at the harbour. They have a varied menu and cater for vegetarians and Vegans alike and have a kids menu too. However they're breakfast menu stops at 2pm which is Very unfortunate as people are still looking for something off the breakfast menu after 2pm. They don't do sandwiches in bread but I had their fish fingers sandwich which is in a Bap. It was tasty but we ordered two of Their South Prom Luxury Hot Chocolates and when we got them they were both cold. However on the plus side it is Dog friendly provided you're happy to sit outside with a covered roof. Staff were friendly but I would like to see a few more different food options...

The staff member at till was not at all friendly, while sitting we observed the same staff member coughing into her hand, didn't wash her hands and was touching the top of coffee cups. Other staff members seemed friendly. Breakfast came out quite quickly. Food was nice but portions where small. No coffee or tea with breakfast, this is rare on the island of Ireland as a whole. 2 Breakfast where almost 20 pounds sterling, expensive. Interior...
