Ordered online and payed using Paypal, and the order was accepted. Got a phone call a few minutes later saying I'd have to pay another £2 when I got there. Thought this was a bit iffy so asked to cancel the order. 3 days later and still no refund. Phoned and asked to speak to the manager whom I heard say "tell him I'm not available", so asked to be phoned back. That never happened. Sent a message on Facebook. Nothing. Eventually got speaking to him on the phone. When I said that I hadn't got my refund he honestly said this "I can't give you a refund. It's been a week. You should have complained at the time". "I phoned you back 4 times but you didn't answer" was another comment, which I'll come back to. He then started shouting, ranting and raving down the phone and wouldn't let me speak. I eventually asked him again if he'd give me my money back and he said "No!" His last words to me were (shouting) "come down and see me face-to-face" which I took as a threat.
Seriously, he seems to think it's OK to take your money, then ask for more, then when you cancel the order he just keeps your money.
NEVER AGAIN.
(PS. I raised a complaint through Paypal and got a refund in a few minutes. I also checked my phones, and there were no calls from Summer Flame so he told a mistruth as well as trying to...
Read moreVisited on Wednesday with my daughter. Food was excellent. We both had chicken & steak shish with fries, onion rings, chilli, garlic mayo. The dish came with a fresh piece of toasted bread, a bowl of rice, a hot & spicy dip too. Could not fault the food, service also fantastic. A lovely personable young lady, very warm. The restaurant is very small & decorated appropriately for the food theme. We were a bit too cold, as its also a takeaway the door was open. As we are coming through covid, I was happy enough for the door to be open. I will definitely be going back, with a jumper on. We brought our leftovers home, still really tasty...
Read moreExcellent, really great food.
Bit of a hidden gem actually. We walked down to Ardglass from Ballyhornan and stopped here for lunch.
The menu has plenty of options, something for everyone, including kids dishes.
Our group had a mix of mezes and shish kebabs. Every one was very happy with the food. I personally had the halloumi and the chicken & adana kebab. All three were great, but the adana was particularly good.
Good selection of Turkish teas, there's good Turkish coffee too.
We didn't have any, but there seemed to be a range of desserts on offer.
Nice little spot too, just down by the harbour.
Highly...
