First visit to South Molton for an age and happend upon this beautiful gem. Sitting in the tranquility of the courtyard as we had the best puppy in the world with us, we chose the Devon cream tea. It was superb, what is very rare these days that there is enough clotted cream for a Devon lad like myself, there was actually ample! A couple of charming ladies were having the cooked breakfast near our table which looked amazing, we will be sure to try that on our next visit. The young man who took our order was marvelously humorous and the young lady who bought out our food and drinks was likewise full of fun. After this discovery, we shall be sure to visit South Molton habitually again.

Delicious food and friendly service in a lovely, cosy space with a great ambience. The restaurant is obviously very popular as it was buzzing with people. As a vegetarian who also loves to try/eat vegan options the only thing that would make this experience SIX out of 5 stars is a couple more plant-based choices on the menu (without having to let the venue know beforehand). The vegan tagine also looked delicious! The cooking was truly excellent so it would be exciting to see what else they can do with non-dairy meals. Thoroughly recommend this venue.

We ate here last week. It was the best dining experience we'd had for a long time. The place had such a friendly atmosphere. The two guys who ran it were so nice. ....and the food was superb. My friends had fish pie, which they both said was the best they'd ever had. My beef and ale pie was so good.......The trifle was the best ever. I could go on...but thank you for making it a really nice evening experience.

Five of us visited for lunch today on a last minute recommendation after our original planned eatery cancelled our booking due to staff sickness. Thank goodness we booked a table as it was a very busy lunch service, which is quite normal apparently. It was a great recommendation however.

We were warmly welcomed by Ben and made to feel relaxed and comfortable throughout. Stumbles has a superb menu range with an additional Specials Board being available. There is something for everyone, whether it's for breakfast, elevenses, lunch or dinner.

From the lunch menu, soup of the day was in fact 3 options, with 2 options for quiche of the day and there was a pie of the day option too, besides other items to choose from e.g. sandwiches, jacket potatoes and other favourites. Prices were very reasonable with the quantity and quality of what was served being excellent.

Two of us had the Steak and Ale Pie, which came with chips and vegetables, which were plentiful, one of us had the fish pie, one had Quiche and one had Stilton and brocoli soup and sourdough. Clean plates all round. Homemade cake and cheesecake followed; again, excellent. The service was excellent and friendly throughout.

This is a great place for all of the reasons given, but I would definitely recommend booking a table so as not to be disappointed.

Thank you Ben and Team. We will definitely be returning...

Good coffee and brownie but left feeling ripped off. Went into Stumbles today for coffee and we decided to have a brownie each (£3.25) the server asked if we would like clotted cream, no mention of additional cost.

When we get the bill the total is £17.80

I query the amount and am told that by having a teaspoon of clotted cream each that the brownies are now classed as puddings and are £6 each.

We were not tourists, we live locally and there are plenty of other places to go.

The time to discuss and rectify the issue was when I am in your cafe querying the cost, not after...
