Cafe 1879 — Restaurant in North Tyneside

Have been going into YMCA for several months.A couple of months ago my friend bought a slice of wrapped date cake, that was very dry. On another occasion actually last week I bought two cheese scones, which were enormous,( good you may think) once again they were very, very, dry. Today my friend and I went to the YMCA in Shields, a pot of tea,a latte and a piece of brownie, the brownie had been cut into a triangle, charge £4+. An absolute disgrace. Café1879 is part of the YMCA experience and although it's not one of my regular haunts as i don't tend to go to café's or eat out I have found it to be friendly and welcoming. There is a good selection of drinks and the menu has a good variety of choices. It's clean and well laid out and the staff are professional and efficient, and from what i have observed families with children of all ages...

Yet again staff always forget to bring your full order over . Slow process when ordering🤷‍♀️ as well . We just want to relax when we go out , not having to get up n down all the time wondering where our order is, l finished my cup of tea and they still had not brought...
