Cassia Silverlink — Restaurant in North Tyneside

We sat at our table picked up the menu and saw the offer for the specials £8.95 for three courses. We were happy with that and began to order first course 2potato skins lovely food second course 2pasta dishes again, lovely food. Then it came to order our third course coffee or ice cream I wasn't particularly wanting an ice cream but my partner wanted coffee he asked what coffees you done and the waiter then told us the special wasn't on that day after we had ordered 2 courses . Never have I been so dismayed shocked disgusted in our treatment ....the waiter on ordering our first course should have told us then that the special wasn't available. We asked for the bill disgusted and angry £32.50 for the two courses and one alcoholic drink of a pint of lager and one soft drink a pint of lemonade. so we put £35 on the tray and to our total and utter disgust were asked by the waiter if we wanted our change . Total disbelief on what we were hearing to which my partner answered yes I want my change and the waiter looked at him in disgust we were embarrassed and felt to feel we could not complain as it would have fallen...

We arrived as a party of 10 for my granddaughters 13 th birthday .The man at the reception was rude i said my name for the booking and he just said wait over there ...ok no problem .When we were taken to our table it was 2 different sized small tables stuck on the end of a booth .The starters came they wern't bad garlic bread and potato skins what could go wrong .Main course one of my sons ordered fillet steak medium it came rare so had to go back by the time the second one came the rest of us had finished eating ..second steak was awful like rubber how can you not cook a fillet steak .My other son and daughter inlaw went outside to smoke before we ordered desert and all of a sudden the waiters started to move there chairs swapped two chairs for a portable booth and took my husbands chair away he had only gone to the loo i said hey someone is sitting there the waiter replied yes but we have a 40th birthday party coming in we need these chairs you'll have to make do......never again will any of us set foot in here again .My grandaughter was in tears and everyone else was...

Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed Sunday lunch 12.15pm 5th June 2022 like warm to cold vegetables watery gravy tasteless food over bearing staff asked 5 times about buying a drink to wear one staff member asked why we did not have a drink witch got me extremely annoyed..I explained the problem of cold veg to two members of staff one give no answer more senior staff member said couldn’t sort until they spoke to chef or who was serving the food on carvery . This is a honest review and I will not be going back there anytime soon but hope this is a unfortunate error that happens from time to time and not a regular occurrence.but if anyone asked me what this establishment is like . I can only give a negative reply .the one star is for the staff member who was serving meats very smiley and happy young girl staff member who actually apologised when we were leaving and Yorkshire puddings and...
