Dhillons Chippy — Restaurant in North Tyneside

This Chippy is under new owners and is massively better now. It is a family run business with mam doing the frying when I've been in. Everyone is very friendly. I'm being lazy this week, so I had a chicken Tikka wrap with salad last night and fish and chips tonight. Both were delicious! Everything is freshly prepared to order, so do expect a little wait (or ring in your order first). It is worth the wait! I much prefer this to food that has been kept in the warmer for hours. The portions are really generous, the chips are just right, and the fish is expertly battered. And the chicken Tikka is mouth watering - I was even allowed to try before I buy. I'm probably going to work my way through the menu. 😁 Definitely worth a visit if you're anywhere near or passing through.

A year later and I'm still going to this chippy every week because they've kept up their high standards and I've never been disappointed. The fish and chips are simply lush and the staff are lovely...

I am home from Germany visiting my parents & our regular chippy is closed at the moment for a refurb, so we decided to try Dhillons for a change. The guy serving was very friendly & welcoming. The shop is clean & bright. We ordered 2 Haddock & chips and 1 Cod & chips. The food was cooked fresh and we didn't have to wait long at all. We even got a free big bottle of Fanta with our order. The portions are massive! I don't think I've ever had a bigger portion of both fish and chips in my life. Both were cooked so well and were very tasty. My photo does not do the food justice at all. Top marks all around! I definitely believe you are the new regular chip shop for our family....

My 1st online order tonight but have picked up a few times before, the food has always been lovely and enjoyable, tonight went perfectly from order to drop off, was phoned to double check where the order was coming to and the lady was polite, driver was lovely and a polite lady, food was hot, not too greasy and very filling.
