Glasshouse Tea Room — Restaurant in North Tyneside

Very disappointed with this cafe, not dog friendly, considering it's in the middle of a popular dog walking location! I wanted a drink and food but couldn't enter because I had my dog with me. Why don't they have some sort of hatch to use if that's the case? Obviously not bothered about losing business. I was really thirsty because I'd ran out of water, I stayed at the door and l thought I'd ask if i could quickly pop in with my dog to buy something. I said 'excuse me' a few times to a woman behind the till. She definitely heard me but just chose to ignore me and walk away! It costs nothing to have consideration for potential customers, for all she knew, I could have had a medical condition but obviously wasn't bothered about a customer! Not surprised this place is empty as the woman behind the counter had a bad attitude. I popped my bike under the canopy outside as it was pouring down. She exclaims “mind you can’t leave your bike there !” I asked “where is the bikestore?’ “ we don’t have one” came the reply. Cafe place was empty, and of course I would have moved it had someone wanted the space. Staff in the cafe is a joke. If you go there an hour before closing time better don't, they are in a rush to go home and they pretend they don't understand you and make you feel you should not be there as you giving them more dishes to wash and clean after you, also they laugh behind you back they seem to be more interested in chatting than serving people, i am sure the owner don't pay them to chat and treat customers like hell!!!! The park itslef is lovely always go there but you need proper staff in that cafe. Is a shame as is my second time attempting to have a coffee there never...
