DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT!
We placed an order last night on Uber eats, the description of what we ordered was incorrect (Chicken sharer box). We were given a phone call to explain this but we didnât feel the money was worth what we were getting. We didnât receive an apology and this man wasnât helpful at all.
We then decided to reorder but different items. We had explained this to the restaurant and they were understand and told us there isnât much of a queue so our food shouldnât be too long. Uber eats displayed 30-50mins. We then, waited an hour and 10mins before we rang the restaurant to find out where our food was. We were told itâs out with their delivery driver. The conversation was a little longer as the man was a little argumentative. We found the customer service absolutely diabolical. We decided to wait a little longer and the food did turn up.
However, once opening the food after an hour & 40 minute wait we were missing 3 main items. We did give the restaurant a call back. We once again, didnât receive an apology or any compensation. We asked for the food to be brought regardless and a refund. The refund was out of question with more attitude from the âownerâ. He did say as the restaurant was due to close he would personally bring us the missing items but after 10mins the order was cancelled on Uber eats and we NEVER received our food. At all costs BOYCOTT this restaurant.

Following on to your reply* Yes you are absolutely correct about the orders, my friend did say she was going to place another order however, you informed us there was no queue of food on at that time and our food would be out within the hour. We waited 1 hour 40mins. Sheâs absolutely correct, itâs not our job to tell you what compensation we should get. To save all of this hassle, you should have out of good will put the wings and slaw in our chicken box. I also want to correct your lies of being shouted,threatened and swore at by myself and friends. I for one didnât speak to you last night and my friend was very calm in all of this but explaining our frustration. We waited nearly 3 hours for âtakeawayâ food. This is not acceptable anywhere. Itâs irrelevant if your phone was on speaker, Iâm not sure what that does for this situation.
Our issue was the customer service by Adam and the lack of respect for your customers. You do say we received our food. We received very little of our food. 3 items were missing, we werenât having âmainsâ as such but our missing items were a huge part of our order. You did however say you were boxing them up and they were being delivered by yourself⌠YOU NEVER DELIVERED OUR FOOD. We havenât received a refund yet and we did ask for a refund on both orders which your blunt reply was we canât do that. Iâve never been so shocked at a restaurants customer service. Unfortunately the restaurant is really cold for some reason. I know itâs cold outside, but a couple of gas fired heaters werenât really having an impact. Feet were absolutely freezing throughout. This isnât a great experience.
Waitress was lovely, and it looked like she was on her own so did a good job of keeping on top of the diners and the various people coming in and out.
Food was a mixed bag. Our party of 6 left most of their chips because they didnât taste super crispy or fresh. Not awful by any means but think they could probably do with a bit longer in the fryer.
The chicken burgers (two people had those) were massive and reminiscent of KFC tower burgers. I think they might be their best item - feel very substantial. Nice quality chicken.
The beef burgers werenât quite as good. Tasted a little on the dry side but the sauce helps to mitigate that. The style of burger is a bit like Five Guys.
Chicken strips are really nice. They were piping hot, had a nice seasoning on the outside, and were moist. Would recommend ordering these.
Frickles are really nice too, along with the Mac & cheese bites.
Getting the food felt a bit slow but it was Friday night so to be expected. It seemed more delivery orders than people in restaurant. Couple of customers got turned away for some reason even though only three tables were taken in the restaurant, so probably wise to book ahead.
Overall if you like this type of food, go and give it a try but there are a few things that need some work. I spent just shy of ÂŁ100 for six people with drinks so I think value for money feels...

Restaurant ambience was 0, they had put up some pig pictures to try and theme it a little but it lacked any sort of atmosphere. Gas fires were strewn about as it was so cold in there (we kept our coats on). The waitress was flustered (there were two other tables in there). We were immediately told there was a 40 min wait for pizzas - we didnât get them. Starters were great, frickles tasty, chicken nice crumb and potato nachos were good. Sauces for frickles/chicken etc extraâŚ! Burgers came, I had trashed browns, which were a super wet sludge of sauce and underdone hash browns (mashed up). Burger was fine but the crispy onions provided a really bready, wet texture that was rather unpleasant to eat. We order Mac and cheese (this didnât arrive) no idea if we were charged for it as the waitress didnât show us the bill. Other meals we had were chicken burgers, these were massive and I was told they were tasty. All meals came with chips, but we ended up leaving the chips as were quite dry and not crispy. Weâd also ran out of sauce and didnât really want to pay for any more. I love these types of restaurants usually, however I think that Pigaloâs needs to go back to the drawing board.
