Raj Mahal — Restaurant in North Warwickshire

Went to raj mahal for the first time tonight, honestly got to say it was possibly the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to, from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out the staff were very welcoming, the I went with my partner and her dad, I had the chicken vindaloo, with a pint of cobra, honestly I can not fault this place or the staff at all, I will definitely be going back…. Very disappointed with the standard of the food, the popadums were very chewy, the onion salad to put on them was diabolical, the samosas were overcooked so was rock hard, the naan was undercooked, burnt round the edges and still doughy in the middle, and the main was swimming in Ghee. The rice and the Cobra was nice.

Also, the interior is very basic and bland, just bare walls, doesn't set a nice scene in my opinion, oh and they should play a little back ground music too.

Raj Mahal is everything that an Indian restaurant SHOULDN'T be. Poor service, awful setup (with that distinct stale oil smell) and a pathetic excuse for an Indian meal.
