Staff are polite. some issues are firing staff for absolutely no reason and making them work 8+ hour shifts with no break because it’s so busy. Food they claim is “fresh” but is actually all microwaved, kitchen is dirty and so are the microwaves that everything is cooked in. They also tell their staff at the last minute that they need to stay extra time or ask them to come in for a shift at the last minute. This is a real shame as the place used to be so good before, and the fact they own two pubs as well is bizarre to me considering the new owners can’t do their job properly. Hiring underage workers and taking them off shift for no reason as well. They need to sort their priorities out, threatening staff and swearing at them as well. Complaining they don’t have staff yet they fire people for absolutely no reason make it make sense mate. this place is such a disappointment and it’s so unhealthy to give customers microwaved food instead of fresh food, and it’s also putting the staff’s health at risk making the work so many long hours with no break. you can tell they don’t care about the staff’s health because they never tell them “oh you’ve worked so hard you deserve a break” besides i know some of the staff there who have asthma and heart conditions and making them basically break their back at work can be detrimental to their health....

we have used this pub for many years and went for a meal last night... ordered 2 mixed grills, one with peas and one with salad, the pub was at about half capacity so not extraordinarily busy... our meals, well at least mine came out after about 50 minutes... my partners meal followed 10 minutes later after we asked for it by which time mine was almost cold!!! despite her having asked for salad on her meal not peas her meal arrived with peas... we had also ordered a side of onion rings which were not brought out... the staff instead brought out a side salad which we did not order... the onion rings arrived after asking for them by which time we had almost finished our meals... we asked for the meat on both mixed grills to be well done however my lamb chop was underdone but i don't mind that... My partners lamb chop she said she could see wasn't going to be cooked so left it till last... when she cut into it there was blood that oozed onto the plate, had she cut into this at the start of her meal she would not have eaten any of it... both waiting staff apologised several times for the multiple issues we had but the only thing they offered was a box for us to take the RAW meat home for our dog... do not think we will be going back which is a shame as this is a pub we often take parents to for a meal... ...

We booked a table for 6 and asked if was doing eat out to help out and told yes. We got there tonight and it was empty. Only 2 other tables had people on. We ordered drinks and looked at the menu. We ordered starters and whilst waiting asked how does the eat out scheme work to now be told they are not doing it. So we spoke to manager who said they was when we booked and she was a little rude and said she did not say that. We carried on as there was 6 of us and had our starters to the table after 45 min from ordering. They was hot and tasty but took a long time considering not alot of people there. We then ordered our mains but 2 of the dishes we wanted was not available. So chose to have tandoori chicken instead. To be told only one available. So very disappointed. Food arrived 50 min after order and was hot but a few items missing and had to be bought out separate. The pub was very draughty so food went cold fast. I then felt somethink touch my leg to find a cat under our table. This was shocking as food and fur don't mix well. Drinks we ordered was OK but not much selection and what was advertised was not available. I don't think I will return as the waiting times were far too long and not alot of people there. Staff were OK. But no social...
