Barn — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

We ordered takeaway from The Barn on a Wednesday evening. We ordered The BBQ Junkies, the half chicken with fries in medium spice, and the pork ribs. We were really surprised by how good it actually was - a far stretch from the BBQ food we make at home!

The pork ribs in particular were the best ribs I’ve ever had - so tender and juicy and just fell off the bone.

The chicken was cooked really well too - with a really impressive lime kick to it. Lots of meat on the bone and small amount of breast - the meat on the bone always has the best flavour.

The sausage was really delicious too - a very unique flavour that I’ve never tasted before.

We got talking to the owner while we waited on the food, which, because it’s all cooked completely from fresh took around 30 mins to cook - and we were happy to wait.

The owner is a really lovely fella who runs the place with his wife and 3 small kids.

My wife and I love trying new and interesting food and this place definitely fits the bill - we’ll definitely be back!

Places like this really deserve to do well - family run, bread and butter sort of places that do things right - fresh food made from scratch and owners who actually really care.

Couldn’t recommend highly enough - especially if you’re a big meat eater like we are!

The owner also very kindly let us try some complementary chicken croquette starters which were amazing, and are apparently going on the menu soon.

Menu is also great value - which is rare these...

Stumbled upon a true culinary delight! This family-run Brazilian Portuguese restaurant is simply outstanding and has quickly become one of our favorites. The star of the show is undeniably their charcoal-grilled chicken. We tried both the lemon and herb flavours and the spicy one, and both were brilliant – incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, putting many high-end restaurants to shame. It was so good, we even packed some to take home!

Beyond the amazing chicken, an unexpected but very welcome surprise was their hot chocolate. It's wonderfully thick, incredibly flavorful, and a very generous serving – a must-try!

You can really tell the quality and freshness here. Everything is made to order, so while there might be a short wait, it's absolutely worth it for the delicious, generous portions.

The constant buzz of customers is a testament to their high standards.

What an Amazing Dinner! I've been so delighted with every course I got, the chicken spicy and no spicy much better that Nandos! The rice and black beans typical latin cuisine, the veggies taste were so typical home made, and even the chips were fabulous 👌 my children and I love them! The cheese bread, rissoles, drinks included, very Brazilian, and price wise, less than a tener for four people and there still left overs! Amazing food well done guys from The Barn Brunch you're now on my top list...
